Mass Effect Andromeda's launching on 21st March, so no longer can BioWare hide behind Twitter talking about how awesome its game is – it needs to show stuff. This latest gameplay trailer which aired during NVidia's press conference at CES 2017 overnight introduces some of the class and level up systems, while also demonstrating a good chunk of combat.
The variety on display at least looks decent; we see the protagonist ghost in and out of sci-fi menaces, using a mixture of firepower and, for want of a better word, "magic" to take down his opponents. The skill tree and stuff looks good, too. We're sure that hardcore series fans will glean more from this trailer, but it looks like a Mass Effect sequel to this author. And that's no bad thing.

looking good, i'll be getting this on XB1 though as my PS4 HDD space is at a premium right now
Biotics Sammy, not magic! God!
As someone who got into Mass Effect when it launched on the XB360 as an Exclusive and because of my 'Shepherd' carrying on through the subsequent releases, I continued my adventure on Xbox, I think this is looking great. I wouldn't say I am a 'Hardcore' ME gamer as I really didn't put much emphasis on my squad arrangement and controlling/ordering them or too much into the powers but I loved the story and game-play. I have had this pre-ordered for months now and this will be my first ME adventure on PS4 - mainly because of owning a Pro and 4k HDR TV as both of these will enhance the visual experience - call it shallow if you want...
@ShogunRok I said it on purpose.
So close!
Looks fun, although I think the person playing is doing a horrible job, running around in the open and getting hit.
Witcher 3 has set a very high bar for RPGs. Combat looks fun enough though and I like that you can have multiple profiles but invest differently in each. We'll have to wait and see how the dialogue, choices and universe holds up. Since this is a separate branch in the ME series, Bioware have no need to adhere to transparent dialogue and simplistic morality.
The best part was the ship landing. It looks great, I hope it plays great too.
Looking at that suit kinda reminds me of Vanquish.
No hope for this s****
