If you're up for some rock hard 2D shooting, then BUTCHER might be just what the doctor ordered. Inspired by the likes of DOOM and other 90s blast-'em-ups, BUTCHER is stuffed with blood, guts, and a ridiculous amount of ammunition. It launches for PlayStation 4 on the 9th May, and you can get a good eyeful of it in the trailer that we've embedded above.

Pass, after shantae half-genie hero and wonderboy dragon trap, I don't want another pixel game, I want beautifull 2D games.
@wiiware I rather see nice looking 2D games Odin Sphere stuff like that. Or at least nice quality 2D pixelstuff.
@Flaming_Kaiser Man odin sphere and dragon crown are great stuff, I definitely buy dragon crown if vanillaware remaster it for ps4
Graphics aside, this looks like it could be a lot of fun. I would be more tempted to buy it if it were on the Vita though.
Wooooo boy, are those graphics UGLY! And what's up with the edgelordy trailer narration ala Hatred? At least Hatred didn't make my eyes want to bleed.
I'll pass, even though the gameplay itself looks like it could be fun. I'll try it once it goes to PS+.
Not really into pixel games. I think this would be better if they used hand drawn 2d animation graphics instead.
Super Noahs ark 3D is closer to doom than this.
It looks cool at the right price I'll get it
