Sony rather welcomingly dedicated a decent chunk of its E3 presser to its virtual reality headset, showing off a spate of new titles. Among those was an intriguing Space-themed side-scroller from developer Playful. Playful is no stranger to VR having worked on Oculus launch title Lucky's Tale as well. Hopefully, this prior experience translates to an even better follow-up title, as the game's reveal trailer certainly offered up some intrigue. The art direction was of particular interest to us and we can't wait to hear more about it. This strikes us as a title to expect sooner rather than later, but it was nice to see Sony continue representing its headset either way.

Again, I think this looks interesting as it is pushing VR gameplay in a slightly different way which is what we need developers to be doing to find the games that suit VR best.
Never expected anything other than first-person in this domain - it's kinda ironic to see full-fledged modern VR applied to the kind of games that Virtual Boy was once blamed of missing its very name's point with. But variety is welcome anywhere; I just hope this game and Moss will be playable without VR as well.
Assuming, of course, that I'm not prematurely assessing these games by pure story cinematics whereas the gameplay itself IS first-person and/or employs VR headset and controls in other aspects.
@nhSnork I'm also a tad confused with these side scrolling vr titles
