Sony’s trialling something new alongside E3 2017 this year: Days of Play. It promises to be a heavily promoted nine-day sale that will run in conjunction with the event in Los Angeles, and it’s being kickstarted with the release of the gold 1TB PlayStation 4 Slim which leaked last week. The console will be available for $249.99 starting 9th June in North America, and it will remain at that price until 17th June, when it will go back up to its standard price point of $299.99.
Days of Play will see major PS4 games reduced right throughout the aforementioned period, too, with a leaked Best Buy flier confirming titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7, Prey, and For Honor will be available as low as $39.99. The likes of Grand Theft Auto V and Battlefield 1 will also go as low as $29.99. Meanwhile, the platform holder has confirmed that it’ll be adding new deals to the PlayStation Store every day.
Here’s what PlayStation Europe chief Jim Ryan told Glixel: “The PlayStation Store will see something cheap every day. We’re intrigued to see how people respond to the event at a time that’s traditionally very quiet for games. We’re going to have some really good deals.” We suspect that some of these may be announced on stage during Sony’s E3 2017 press conference next week, so watch this space and we’ll keep you updated.

Worth adding that Days of Play is being coordinated globally, so there will be deals in every country that sells PlayStation consoles/games.
Nice! Hopefully some vr games will be on sale!
Guarantees the death of the competition. Brilliant move by Sony.
@get2sammyb As previously mentioned, there is also a "Spend $100/get back 15" campaign set to start on the 9th as well in NA, which will obviously "Stack" well with other sales. Not sure about EU....

Very good, having sales every day will increase traffic and awareness. Also nice way of caring about gamers at home/abroad.
@Mega-Gazz Thanks for sharing. Sounds like it's going to be a good month of deals, then.
Sounds pretty decent, have to hand it to them, their sales on the Store this year have been excellent, I've picked up 2 "complete" editions for under £30 combined Just Cause 3 XL and Shadow of Mordor GOTY
Cool, look forward to seeing what offers are available. That gold PS4 is hideous though! Really wish we could get some nice modern colour schemes with limited edition (non-gaming) designs.
I can guarantee that What Remains of Edith Finch will go on sale as I just bought that.
