Prepare your straitjacket and PlayStation VR headset, as you’re about to be transported to a 1950s mental health asylum in The Inpatient on the PlayStation 4. Set to release on 21st November in North America and 22nd November in Europe, the Until Dawn prequel sees you assume the role of a patient with no prior knowledge of how he was admitted into the hospital.
“As you investigate the Blackwood Sanatorium in an effort to recall lost memories and discover who you are,” executive producer Simon Harris wrote on the PlayStation Blog, “your decisions and actions will determine the fate of people that you meet.” There’s a new trailer embedded above – it all looks suitably messed up.

I had no idea the inpatient was meant to be a prequel to until dawn? Interesting.
As for bravo team, I hope this means Sony plan to produce more aim controllers ahead of its release!
is this a vr only title?
@Boxmonkey Yes.
Looking forward to this..and out on my birthday too
Not enough spare pants in the world for me to play this.
The horror! The horror!
I'm still trying to finish RE7 on my PSVR but ... the horror ...
Well it looks like Sony are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to VR. Gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of decent content. Still not enough to actually get one, mind. Still, good for them.
Please be amazing. Please be amazing!
PSVR only?
VR only means I gotta pass unfortunately.
@Star-Lord Not sure.
So sad it's VR only! And the problem with it is that a much smaller group of people will play it...oh well
Please have a retail release. The last retail vr I bought was Farpoint.
I would love to play the prequel but not on vr, oh well
I expect this will be a "VR timed exclusive" and will later drop with no VR. Having said that, I have the headset and am reallly looking forward to being in this. RE7 on VR was terrifying & I think I only would have found it tense at best on my plain old flatscreen.
@Pamela @AFCC @sonicmeerkat Same here, I refuse to pay an extra $400 just to play a few games I might be interested in.
