So far, we only know about a quarter of the titles that are set to feature on Sony's PlayStation Classic mini console, but depending on where you buy it, the rest of the lineup could be quite different. The five currently announced will feature on the machine in Japan and the West, but the other titles will vary by region.
Sony boss Hiroyuki Oda confirmed as much to Famitsu during Tokyo Game Show 2018. Of course, he didn't let any games slip, but it's interesting to note that there will be a difference between versions of the PlayStation Classic. We're not sure which games will be changed, but Oda has said that the games are being carefully selected based on popularity among fans and their significance to PlayStation. Hopefully we'll learn about more of the included games soon.
What games do you think will appear exclusively on the Japanese PlayStation Classic? Break out your wishlists in the comments below.

Makes sense. Ninty did the same with the NES/SNES.
Id really like Colony Wars. Probably won't get it. But there you go. It's not as if I don't already have a copy! 😂
Just give me Metal Gear Solid, Legend of Dragoon, RE3 and Colony Wars and I'll be happy.
It makes sense, I suspect there'll be some complaining though.
i hope this doesn't mean we wont get games that wasn't released in the UK, this is the perfect chance to release some games over here we never had before like Chrono Cross
@FullbringIchigo That's probably exactly what it means.
@KALofKRYPTON not necessarily, a bunch of games on the SNES mini were never released in Europe.
@manu0 On the JP region region one yeah.
On the EU/US release the only unreleased game was Star Fox 2, which didn't release anywhere.
@KALofKRYPTON no. Mario RPG, Earthbound and Final Fantasy VI were all not released in Europe on the SNES. (and Star Fox 2 of course)
@manu0 Oh yeah - the 'meh' games!
In that case, I hope Sony don't follow suit and chuck on several RPGs I've no interest in.
@KALofKRYPTON wow...
@KALofKRYPTON Regardless of your personal (sacrilegious) views on these RPGs, the point remains that they are some of the most well-received and beloved games ever released. Releasing them over in the UK for the first time was fantastic as it gave us the chance to officially play them on the original console.
The NES Classic costs $450 here in Barbados. I shudder to think how much this will cost when it lands here.
@nessisonett @manu0 ¯(ツ)/¯
They were just taking up disk space.
@Turismo4GT €58 here in the Netherlands.
Legend of Dragoon please Sony.
@Flaming_Kaiser when I did the conversion from your price (€58=$136.68 local) that would seem like an absolute cracking deal here. Of course, we're taxed to all hell so sadly it's unrealistic. I'm fully expecting the PS Classic to be pushing $550-$600 minimum when it gets here 😢
That's Parasite Eve and Xenogears absent once again over here.
I just want xenogears.
I preordered it. I hope for MGS, RE, Crash...
@FullbringIchigo that is a tragedy... chrono cross was one of my favourite games of the ps1 era.
@Porco the UK never got it sadly
I'm not surprised, hopefully we get the full list soon.
Am I the only person who wants Intelligent Cube to get some some time in the spotlight?!
