Detroit: Become Human may not have generated quite the same amount of hype as God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man, but it’s absolutely played a part in a great spread of smash hit exclusives for Sony this year. And if you’ve been on the fence about the sci-fi story game, you can take a chance on the title for little more than a tenner, as the title’s on sale at Amazon UK right now:

We took issue with some of the plot beats of Quantic Dream’s latest, but still thoroughly enjoyed it overall. Our review concluded: "Detroit: Become Human is vintage Quantic Dream, delivering a multifaceted choose-your-own-adventure that’s both ambitious and somewhat of an acquired taste."

Payday tomorrow so this little beauty will be mine
Well worth the £13.99. There's some great stuff in this game.
Yea I had a few disagreement with pusquare review.
'the plot centres on the idea of deviant androids trying to integrate themselves in society, but with many of the models sharing the same facial features, it’s hard to believe that any of these cyborgs could ever disguise themselves among humans.:
Well no they actually don't want to be integrated but be recognised as a new form of intelligent life.
They don't want to be like any other humans but be recognise as different that the whole idea of accepting differences rather than try erase them
That many 'look' similar makes it even more powerful because they only look similar from a human perspective.
And they are NOT CYBORGS.
Oh one more edit
The multi storyline is not a flaw. It's the whole point of the game!
@JJ2 Yeah but my point was that Kara, for example, tries to pass off as human, right? The fact that she changes her hairstyle is not going to fool anyone considering there are presumably thousands of Karas available that all look the same.
If I was a human and I met Kara, I'd recognise her as an android.
Standard movie price at last.
Bloody hated this game, moreso than Beyond and that's saying something.
@get2sammyb
There a time in the game when She s on a magazine as a new model. If you fail to hide the cover the police officer will see the similarity
Trying to hide and cover traits that could be recognised makes sense. Its like you'd feel weird not to walk straight to the police station because you think its very likely you'd get arrested anyway.
For that matter, there's a psychological side of it. Many would not pay attention to androids behaving like humans because they d assume they are human.
@JJ2 No it makes sense that she tries to hide the traits, but I thought the fact that she's so recognisable as an android blows her cover immediately anyway. I just thought it was a bit dumb.
Like when the police officer searches that house. You have to assume he's never seen a Kara ever before, on television or in a magazine or in real-life, because he doesn't recognise that she's an android. Is that really realistic? It's not very believable.
@get2sammyb
Sorry I just edited my post.
Was saying there s a psychological side of it as in you behave like humans and people assume you are.
@get2sammyb
Just look at how different full deviant Connor seems as opposed to non deviant Connor
@get2sammyb
Actually it never happened to you seeing some familiar face but not able to figure out why?
Android Wear uniform like clothes and their thing on the side can't remember what it s called. Humans assume that's what androids look like.
Even when you see a human not wearing the uniform you always see them with they can be difficult to recognise.
And again I think she is a new model.
@JJ2 I dunno. You have to suspend your disbelief a bit I guess.
@get2sammyb
Sure. It's fiction after all.
Thanks for replies
Oh might get this, have 25 quid Amazon credit to use.
EDIT:@get2sammyb Erm, it is currently £23.99 on Amazon UK? Does the deal start tomorrow or something?
@JohnnyShoulder It not direct from Amazon. It another seller, AO.
I loved this game. Might be my GOTY.
Same price at Argos, grabbed my copy today along with Spiderman for £28.99. Gotta love black friday
Very tempting, but I'm going to hold off on getting anything this time and instead wait until the next sale. There's enough games in my backlog that needs my attention, so I'll try to finish some of them before the winter sales appear.
I'm in the process of playing right now and it's ace, although I'm still early in.
Anytime Connor's on screen, it's a 10 outta 10.
Must be a popular deal, price has gone up at Amazon and out of stock at every Argos within 50 miles of me.
Got this a few days ago and have to say I'm enjoying it more than red dead 2, probably my game of the year. Fantastic story telling and acting puts Hollywood to shame.
For an article aimed at people that haven't played the game, is there any need for spoilers in the comments?
That one didn't last long. I guess I have enough games to play until prime day 2019 anyway.
It’s Black Friday again @get2sammyb?
@Derpie1 Shhh, I thought I'd fixed that.
This game is absolutely brilliant, that price is amazing!
Going through the holiday sales listing I saw I "purchased", probably through PS+, both Quantic games, only a matter of time before this joins them, no need to purchase it outright.
And besides, the PS5 4k version will probably be better. 😁
Glass I missed the last discount on that game.
Damn you Amazon! I worked hard(ish) for that money. Stop emptying my bank account!
There's a chance to win a ps4 signed by Kojima, Cerny and Cage

Guess I missed it in the US store... "sold out" here
Would have been an instant buy.
Play Connor's game
Absolutely fantastic game.Played the game 3 times so far. For that price you can't go wrong.
Maybe they've changed the price, but Amazon is currently showing it as £15.99 for me right now. Argos has it for £13.99 but is out of stock in the stores nearest to me.
Having never played a Quantic Dream title before I really wasn't sure if this would be my kind of game so I tried the demo a few weeks ago and was well impressed! Picked it up for €20 the other day, that's an absolute steal! Unfortunately it will have to slot into the backlog of games vying for my time, so I'll prob get around to this sometime in 2020!
@IBeAGamer Way better than anything released by you know who.
I find David Cage and his games pretentious but for this price I'll give it a shot.
@PS_Nation I'd disagree, Naughty Dog at least made Jak and Daxter which was a great series. If you're trying to be a snide fanboy about me using Xbox One then you are yet again wrong as Sunset Overdrive and Forza utterly destroy this trash.
This Detroit game really looks total trash imo.I guess its a question of what genre you like.
@PS_Nation I'm an Xbot that is playing Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Also at least I actually play other systems unlike a sad little fanboy like you.
@IBeAGamer Sure, sure, whatever you say. You also said that Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 are better than Sony exclusives and that would sell way more than anything released by Sony. You also said recently that Japanese games are more popular on Xbone. That’s why everybody laughs at you. xD
@PS_Nation Yeah, no I didn't. Both of those games are utter trash.
Also I never once said that Japanese games are more popular on Xbox, maybe you're a crazy person that makes stuff up in his little fanboy mind.
