The Game Awards 2018 have concluded, which means that you're probably pondering whether you should work your way through some of the winners, right? Whatever your gaming plans this weekend, we'd love to hear about them in the comments section. You know the drill by now, right?

I'm going to give PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds a go at long last. I've been curious about this title ever since it blew up, and while I've got my Battle Royale fix elsewhere during the release's extended absence from PlayStation platforms, I'm eager to see how this title holds up.

I'm reviewing Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and I've realised that I don't understand Gwent. Well, I used to understand it when it was in The Witcher 3, but it's totally different card game here and I'm lost. I have a feeling that this review's going to take a while.

I’ve got my eye on a couple of this month’s PS Plus games this weekend. I’m rather enjoying the arcade thrills and spills of Onrush, and I’m looking forward to finally playing Papers, Please on my freshly charged Vita.

After missing out on quite a few of this year’s releases, I am playing catch up by playing some Divinity: Original Sin II and continuing my run of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Might jump on the Smash Bros hype train, but considering the former two are turning out to be a surprising delight, there’s a 95 per cent of probability my Sandwich [I'm assuming Annette meant Switch here, but I'll leave it unedited in case - Ed] won’t be getting any love.

This weekend I'll be continuing my conquest through Ancient Greece in Assassin's Creed Odyssey which I'm having a surprisingly large amount of fun with while I take the occasional break to play some Super Smash Bros Ultimate when I'm feeling competitive.

I'm a broken record playing PSone games each weekend, however I've mentioned to Sammy before how I enjoy flicking through my PlayStation Classic as a jukebox of titles, and a bonus is listening to retro soundtracks that I love again. I also want to read Nat Eker's Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee review, because I fancy playing Oddworld Inhabitants' 1997 game too.

I've recently decided that I need to play through some of the classic video game series that I've just never got round to. I've been working my way steadily through the inFAMOUS series which was a lot more fun then I was expecting it to be. I'm almost done with it though and I feel like I'm in the mood for an RPG, so next up I'm trying to decide if I should play Wild Arms or give the Persona series a try.

Not had much on the agenda in the way of games this week. However, I finally sought out the motivation to try and add the Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory Platinum to my collection. It’s a right royal grind but every second of this underrated masterpiece of a JRPG makes it worthwhile.

I’m still playing Subnautica which has captivated me completely. I’m genuinely impressed by the level of terror this game has installed in me for such a small indie game. The fear almost matches that of a Resident Evil game! Also Smash Bros came out on Friday so I’ve been playing that lots, too.
Quite a busy WAYP this week, then, but let's see it get even busier in the comments section below. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the main game for me. But I’ll definitely squeeze in some PS4 time. Probably with Street Fighter V and Soul Calibur 6. Gotta make some process with Yakuza Kiwami 2 as well.
I have been playing some Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Persona 4 and 5 dancing games on my PS4 (the endless night collection is beautiful and was worth every penny). Will do persona 3 when im done with those.
Im off travelling for work tomorrow, so that will give plenty of time to crack on with my adventure on Ys 8 on my Vita. I have about 100 other games on my vita memory card, so undertale or papers please may also get a look in. I would love to be playing p5 dancing in starlight on the go, but i wont pay full price for digital only
Jenny - 100 % check out the Persona series. I know you are an advocate for vita so you have access to personas 1-4 plus the 3 dancing games! I havent touched 1 or 2 - but 3 and 4 Golden are genuine classics. Then you can move on to persona 5 on PS4 which is up there with God of War for game of the generation!
Not sure actually, i have been trying to get through my backlog of games so i'll decide later what i'm gonna play
Hopefully finishing off zelda: wind waker by the end of the weekend! It's been absolutely excellent, and if it nails the ending, will likely be my second favourite Zelda game (nothing can beat majora's mask!)
Getting really excited for Resident Evil 2 by playing the excellent VII, I'm most of the way through and then I'll be playing Madhouse difficulty in VR to scare the hell out of myself and then play through all of the DLC. Afterwards it'll be on to the remake of the original and I may pick up 4 in the sale
Other than that I'm going back to Horizon Zero Dawn as I never finished it last year but unfortunately my main save has gone missing so I had to start from fairly early on in the game. I say unfortunately but I'm enjoying it more than ever and still can't believe how great the combat is. I might play a bit of Tetris too if I get time
In between deciorsting my parents house and football, I’ll be playing more Smite and Blackout along with continuing with AC: Odyssey which I’ve jumped back to as a break from Red Dead. It still stuns me how gorgeous Odyssey is and I’d argue it’s possibly better looking than Red Dead. The Greek Isles are a delight to explore. And clearing out Forts just never gets dull for me
@BranJ0 I adore Windwaker and it's probably my second favourite 3D Zelda but behind Ocarina instead 😉
Astrobot announced as best PSVR game has given me the urge to jump back into this amazingly beautiful and cute game. It's definitely my fave VR game so far.Roll on the sequel
Dragon Quest XI will be getting a good look in too.100 hours through it and still having a blast!
I'm also continuing my second playthrough of Detroit Become human,I just hope this time I can keep at least one of them alive..
On the Switch i have started YS VIII which I gotta say I'm loving just like the last Ys game I played on the Vita. The only thing I'm not loving is the presentation when docked.Undocked however it looks great.
I'll be continuing the online adventures of Red Camilla in Red Dead Online.
I hope Annette's sandwich gets some love.
@RogerRoger That gif is brilliant!
Anthem Alpha in 7 mins
Other than that, Destiny 2 and maybe some Dragon Age Inquisition!
Would like to finish up Darksiders 3 this weekend. I’d probably go for the platinum if the loading times weren’t so long.
I’m also playing Persona 3: DMN. Would like to finish the entire track list in ‘normal’ first before moving on to P5: DSN.
Back to playing spider-man on ps4, plus castlevania sotn and iconoclasts on psvita.
Smash Ultimate for me.
RDR2. Funny I named this grey horse I bought Ashen, and I just realized there's a game out with that name. Still hunting legendary fish and perfect pelts, so far with what have seen it's light years ahead of RDR1 on the narrative side, no wonder it won best narrative. And all I'm saying is if there are 2 great games in a year, one linear, one open world, I'll go for the latter as GOTY. Why? Because I sold The Last of Us but still have GTAV.
I'll be jumping into the closed alpha of Anthem. Also some more RDR2 and for some reason I have an urge to replay God of War. Could it be that its the best game in years? Hmm, possibly
Busy weekend but will try to squeeze in some Gran Turismo Sport whenever I can.
Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One and Smash Bros Ultimate on Switch. I've redownloaded the classic Tomb Raider games on PS Vita as well.
Smash Bros and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me!
And Dutch is one of the most memorable characters I've ever seen in a game, his walking style, his voice, charisma, when you can't tell what he's capable off when angered. RDR1 made you hate him but he charms you in 2, makes you hate that you like him.
Zelda Wind Waker on GC and some Skyrim I think.
was supposed to be playing the anthem alpha right now, but it doesn't connect to its online services.
I am finally getting around to Detroit: Become Human starting tonight.
‘Tis the season to dent my backlog!
🤔 what am I playing this weekend? Most definitely not the subject of the lead image 🤮
Hoping to get some more time in with RDR2 and Sonic Mania Plus later after I complete some graphics projects.
FFVII ! & Smash Bros for me.
Smash Bros Ultimate
Smash Bros. Ultimate, of course!
Also found myself playing a bit more of Onrush this morning, though. Definitely won't be a favorite game of mine, but a few story mode matches here and there are fun enough.
God of War and Detroit: Become Human. Picked up both for a great price during the Black Friday sale.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and three hours with the Anthem alpha.
Smash Bros in between Final Fantasy XIV
I've been giving Onrush a try. I could do without the emotes and the Fortnite-style dances, but other than that, it's fun.
@RogerRoger If you'd been in charge of the PR for Hitman 2, it would have sold way, way more copies. Your weekly gifs are making me want to play this game massively.
Onrush and Bulletstorm.
Smash bros for me!!
Dragon Quest XI, I will try to finish it.
After I finish that, I need to play the dlcs of Spider-Man, Spyro 2, Yakuza Kiwani, Onrush and Donut County.
Been dipping in and out of Hitman Season1 and Spyro Trilogy again today, but picked up Detroit and Tomb Raider Croft Edition in latest PSN sale (love me some extra challenge tombs, even if I'll have to come back to it mid next year for completion!), so will be starting on one of those two tomorrow. The race is on to get those two games done before the New Year, as 2018 has been the year where I've tried to avoid adding any big new games to my embarrassingly oversized backlog! 😉 ...will still have Hitman2 left, but waiting for complete edition on that anyway.
This weekend I will mainly be playing on PC, which I haven't done in quite a while. I recently connected my PC to my big TV, and the result is awesome. So I'm all set on playing my favourite PC games; Race Room Racing Experience, Automobilista, and rFactor 2. I'll also be spending some time figuring out which of my other PC games I can play with a controller. Most of my PC game collection consists of strategy games and point-and-clicks.
On the PS4 I'll probably play some X-Morph Defense and Ride 3.
Still RDR2 for me. It's taking a while as it's not really gripped me like the first game did...
vanquish and resonance of fate word up son
I've become addicted to Moonlighter, I love the dungeon diving/selling Ware to customers mechanic. I do find myself yelling at customers, 'Do you know how hard it was to get that item?" Doesn't seem to phase them though.
Played the closed alpha on Anthem and maybe later on tonight i will play some more Spyro 2 on the Reignited Trilogy especially as i have now reached the Winter world.
Due to a family tragedy and moving I won't be play anything for awhile. Which sucks cause I can use some time on something like Fallout 76 or Battlefield V to just decompress.
@TheArt is it just me or does the actor that does Dutchs voice sound alot like Tommy Lee Jones.
This weekend ill be continuing with RDR2 and i picked up MHW on sale so ill probably check that out.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Red Dead Redemption 2 for me!
@ellsworth004 Well I'm not sure and it can't be him since Rockstar said they don't work with the Hollywood big names no more.
Smash of course. Maybe start Far Cry Primal, I bought it like a year ago.
@Tasuki my condolences, keep your head up Sir.
@Ralizah How is smash bros? I played it at a friend once Wii U but i got destroyed.. is it noob friendly ?
On topic: Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu (switch)
@Tasuki My condolences:/
Me and my wife giving overooked a bash, some heated words but absolutely loving its quirkiness
@Tasuki Sorry to hear that, and good luck with your move
What in the World? (Windows Phone) - Killing time here and there.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Watching a Let's Play since I can't seem to get it running.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (Windows 10) -
Just starting on Chapter 1.
Playing some more Uncharted 3 and Tomb Raider Chronicles.
@playstation1995 +1 for Vanquish! What a game
Sub Nautica and farming simulator 19! Both are awesome!!!
@TheArt yeah i know its not him, but at some points in the game, especially when hes giving a speech he sounds so much like him
For me, I downloaded OnRush, just in case, but expect to spend what little time I have with Arthur Morgan and with Louis de Richet (...from The Council, for most of you out there who might be wondering what game has a French named male protagonist). The Council is growing on me, but it’s just not got the polish it needs to be really good. But I’m enjoying it enough to keep going and really warming up more and more to Red Dead Redemption 2 as well.
@ellsworth004 Yeah, I can kinda hear a little Tommy Lee Jones sounds in Dutch’s voice, but TLJ is usually a little more deadpan sounding. He does have that gruffness to the voice though like Dutch.
The voice acting in RDR2 is absolutely fantastic, by the way.
@AnnetteM I’m just curious what kind of sandwich deserves such a spurn of your affections. PBJ? Turkey and Swiss? Tuna Salad? It’s gotta be Pimento Cheese.
I'm making progress through AC Odyssey, and I'll probably mess around with Overwatch and Soma too.
1.Anthem (Alpha Test)
2. Edge Of Eternity (early access)
Playing on my PC this weekend. Both games turned out to be good.
@Sanquine The adventure mode might feel like a bit much for a total newbie, but Smash is pretty basic and accessible at its core. Don't worry too much about being good at it, as that'll come with familiarity and practice.
@Tasuki I wish the best of luck in whatever it is you're going through.
Hitman 2 and P5 Dancing
Wipeout Omega Collection (hypno eye frazzler) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider demo (more of the same but that's a good thing! )
@Th3solution yeah the voice acting is real good in rdr2, i love the game alot, but i just think if they would of improved alot of the mechanics it would have been phenomenal.
@Tasuki Really sorry to hear that. We had some problem recently, but I know it's awful to deal with a family tragedy.
PUBG is (to me) the worst of the top 3 battle royale experiences!
Anyway, damn Smash Bros is good, I'm loving it!
@Tasuki good luck with everything, I mean that.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Darksiders III
Played about 5 1/2 hours at Smash Bros yesterday at a friends house. Six players and everyone used a different type of controller. I had an original GameCube controller. We also had a Wave-bird, A switch pro controller, A Wii U era GameCube controller, 2 joy con’s tied together with a grip and a single joy con. It was awesome.
PS5 definite need to support at least six controllers.
Today it’s back to Spiro 3.
@Kidfried I haven’t completed that many Zelda games but really liking it so far. Took me some time to get back into the GC controller mindset.
Just gone back to ac odyssey after getting all 3 plats for sypro, it’s a very welcome return to the gorgeous islands dotted around Greece 😀😀😀😀😀😀
I am studying for my huge math and programming exams No gaming for me.
@Kidfried I've just finished the triforce quest, which I'd heard was abysmal, but I ended up really enjoying! I assume I've just got the last dungeon to go now, so I'll finish it this evening, and if it sticks the landing then it really will be one of my favourite games of all time, it's just got five times more personality than any game I've ever played!
@carlos82 Ahh that's fair enough, I absolutely love Ocarina, but I prefer the overall atmosphere and story of Majora's Mask, and I also think the dungeons, whilst there are far fewer than in Ocarina, are some of the best the series has produced. It's comfortably sitting at third favourite though!
i got pubg free with my xbox x and feel i got ripped off lol
@Kidfried Just finished it, and although I recognise that I'm probably still rolling on the hype of just finishing it, I'm almost certain it's my favourite Zelda. That final boss and ending was the most perfect cap to that game. Whilst the game as a whole might not have had the best dungeons (although I did find tower of the gods and the wind temple to be absolutely excellent) it was just the most pure fun I've had with a game in ages. I just want to play it all again now!
My Sandwich never gets any love
RDR2 of course.
