The ANTHEM public demo is set to go live in just a couple of hours (at the time of writing). Available to everyone via the PlayStation Store, the demo could end up being a make-or-break scenario for many players, so here's hoping that EA and BioWare get it right this time.
We say that because last weekend's VIP demo was a bloody mess. Issues ranged from the inability to actually log in to numerous game-ending bugs and hard crashes. It wasn't pretty, and it definitely didn't give the best first impression, but we think there's no harm in giving ANTHEM a second pre-release chance.
But what about you? Will you be playing the public demo? Did you play the VIP demo? Are you buying ANTHEM when it comes out? Vote in our polls, and then give us the details in the comments section below.

Nope. No interest in Anthem, other than to maybe watch other people playing it for all of 5 minutes.
There's a storm coming...
Will hopefully give it another go sometime this weekend to decide whether to keep my pre-order wasn't overly impressed last weekend but will give it one more shot.
I’ll kick the tires this weekend, but I’m leaning towards not buying this.
That means not playing Kingdom Hearts III.
So nope.
Lolno bro.
(Seriously, why is there a certain amount I need to type to post a comment?)
Downloaded and ready to try it out. Hopefully the servers aren't a mess.....
Got it ready to go, going to check it out with my kids since they're home from school today. Only an hour left to wait!
I’m looking forward to trying it out.
I don’t play destiny anymore so if it’s any good I’ll buy it.
Reminds me of the time I was excited for the evolve demo though and that was dreadful.
Watching gameplay it looks a bit boring but I still want to try it out.
No, but hope it holds up for those who do
My brother will get the demo, so me and a buddy will pay him a visit this weekend and try it out. They are both interested in buying the game, but so far it has eluded my interest. It's always good to try a game for yourself before you make a decision, so of-course I'm interested in trying the demo. However, I'm dedicating my spending on racing games this year, and Dirt Rally 2 is just around the corner, and Monster Energy Supercross 2 has just been released, so even if I wanted to play Anthem it would have to take the backseat (so maybe next year at best).
Nah, it ain’t my kinda game.
So the options for the weekend are to play a game I've half my life for, or a demo for a game I couldn't care less about.
Man that's a tough one...
Where's the "if it works" option?
No I'm not interested
Sure I'll try it, I don't think I buy it though since I still have a lot of games to play (just bought kh3 and will buy re2 after I'm done with kh3).
The only interest I have is watching the inevitable controversy from the sidelines.
EA + Livesevice = Disaster
No. No game published by EA is worth my time or money.
Yeah I'l try it played the alpha wanna see how the beta will be.
UPDATE.
Played it holy shi* the game is awesome especially when you uncover that green iron man suit it's so awesome.
Worth a bash, have it downloaded and hope to give it a go later tonight
No, I'm not interested in this one.
It just looks like 3rd person Destiny. Plus it’s EA, so it’s going to be full of micro transactions, if not now then in a month or two. I don’t see the point in this game.
I've got it downloaded ready to try. With other games vying for my gaming time it needs to be good for me to play it for long. It needs to be really good for me to even start considering about buying it.
I like sci-fi and Mass Effect so I will give it a fair chance.
I had a quick go and I've gotta say, it didn't leave much an impression on me. I'll give it another blast over the weekend but from what I've played I think it's pretty poo.
Nope. Zero interest in mech suit games.
definitely playing the demo.word up son
not sure, i played through all the available stuff last week, and even if you forgive the technical shambles, it still wasn't that great in my opinion.
Just tried it and have to say it's atrocious. Love me some loot grinding, having put 1000's of hours into Destiny and Warframe I was really looking forward to it but this game has nothing going for it whatsoever. Everything about it is just bland.
I do not like this game very much at all. It's mostly the shooting that has me snoozing. It just feels limp, and everything is incredibly spongy and boring to fight. Hard pass.
Have it pre-order. But on PC.
Just playing the freeplay to see if better optimized than when I was on the Alpha test. Still a bit all over the place on my PC (1070ti)
PS5 can't come soon enough 😞😒
If it ever downloads I'll give it a go. 26GB, ouch.
Played the first mission. Hard pass. Totally abstract and sucky.
Played first mission from the demo. Got bored uninstalled that demo off my hdd!
Enemies are spongy indeed, SMGs just tickle them and hand cannons are barely usable....
On the technical front is a mess, framerate is very inconsistent on pspro and I got kicked out from the server twice before the queen of spider.
I have to move the preorder... I hope the Division 2 won't disappoint too...
Felt compelled to make an account because the anthem demo just bricked my pro, it crashed an booted me out over an over but the last time just gone, all power gone, can't turn it back on, freakin nothing, I am fudging pissed the love of!
Update: the iT solution of unplugging an leaving it awhile seems to have worked. I have deleted anthem however and do not plan on purchasing it, ever!
I was actually pleasantly surprised, as I was on the fence after being raped by destiny

@JohnnyBastos I downloaded Gears of War 4 (PC), a few days ago, it was 133 Gb! Biggest game that I've ever downloaded. Despite the huge download, for the price of £4.99, which it cost, I can't really complain.
Well I tried the game.
I really liked the hover mode, that was very cool. Having elevation at your whim adds a whole new dimension to the combat, it's fun.
The combat relies heavily on your special combat abilities or "extras", rather than the more regular weapons in your aresenal, like the machine guns, shotguns and what-not. Maybe it will be rebalanced later, who knows.
The combat and mission structure really feels like Destiny + Mass Effect Andromeda, minus the cover-based shooting. It's very much like a 3rd-person Destiny game, it borrows a great deal from Destiny in my opinion, more so than it borrows from Mass Effect.
The game makes it very clear it is designed for multipler, the single-player is just added for the sake of it. It sems that you get extra "XP" when you play in multiplayer, i.e. it penalises single-player.
The big issue for me is that Anthem reminds me of why I stopped playing Destiny: I want stories, lots of characters, and places with meaning attached to them. As with Destiny the game-wold feels rather shallow and empty. It's there to satisfy the multiplayer grind.
Had 4 load screens in about 10 minutes of bland playtime. The flying feels nice but everything about this demo is so bleh...
I'll play Warframe instead.
