Barcelona forward Lionel Messi will be the face of eFootball PES 2020, which will kick-off on the PlayStation 4 from 10th September. The new game will feature a number of key tweaks, including “a remastered version of Master League, a brand-new mode called Matchday, and a completely overhauled visual identity for in-game menus”.
Interestingly, the press release notes that Konami has enlisted the expertise of ex-Spain midfielder Andrés Iniesta to design a new dribbling mechanic. Legendary Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho will also be replicated in the game, with some of his showboating skills integrated into the release. Meanwhile, new team partners will be announced next month.

Well that's a horrific name change.
Efootball? Thats a horrible name!
What was wrong with Pro Evolution Football? Guess it had to be eFootball for some reason and that would make the abriviation PEE so that avoided that pitfall
@Danloaded what's wrong with Pro Evolution Football? It was never called that 😂
E football. Sounds like a kickabout at a rave.
Why have they changed the name?
@ApostateMage E’S ARE GOOD E’S ARE GOOD E’S EBENEZER GOODE
@nessisonett That tune is gonna be stuck in my head all week now. Buzzin'.
Day one purchase as usual.
I was going to mock the games name.
Then I watched the trailer, seen the shot turned pass and additional dummies - creating space through movement - the ball physics on deft touches.
I can't believe I have to buy a game called eFootball.
@RedMan33 I know that lol I mean if they wanted to change the name from Soccar to Football. Instead of PES they called it PEF
I'm guessing they're planning on dropping the PES moving forward, so it's called eFootball but damn the eFootball PES 2020 is a horrendous name. As cheesy as calling Uncharted - eWallClimber or Persona5 - eTalkatives 5.
