Oh goodness, here comes the sun. What should we do? Well, after months of moaning about the chilly weather, it's probably time to complain that it's too hot. That's certainly what this author will be doing.

Now that the Sun has finally come out, I'm going to completely ignore it and play some video games instead. In addition to getting a good kicking online in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, I'll be strapping a box to my face and going on holiday with Vacation Simulator. Expect a review of my time away once I'm back.

I’m spending most of the weekend decorating the kitchen. I have Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled at the ready for downtime.

I'm loving Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, but surprisingly for a remaster when I play Local Arcade at medium difficulty in a Cup Race it's more brutal than the hard difficulty setting in the 1999 original. It's faster, but with more aggressive AI, so I took more cheap hits in one night of Nitro-Fueled compared to weeks of playing PSone Crash Team Racing.

Having just acquired Okami HD's Platinum Trophy, I'll be spending my weekend finishing up my playthrough of the slightly sloppy but still solid Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

My friend and I have been playing a game of chicken for a while now. The latest flash sale more or less got us to blink. And we both lost. So now we're going to be playing Crayola Scoot at some point. I don't want to say I'm excited, but I might be kinda excited?

Now that my vacation is over I will be diving into some retro goodness with the Contra Collection for PS4. When I am not saving the world from aliens I will be exploring the world of Elder Scrolls Online on the Xbox One with a few co-workers.
What are you playing this weekend? What will be distracting you from the sunshine? Will you be drawing the curtains shut all weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

One of my cats pulled down my curtains so I guess I did a rubbish job putting them up in the first place. So I’ve been redoing those today. Toy Story 4 later (hype) and hopefully some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 tomorrow 🤙🏻
Well I've now cleared all the hordes and Days Gone is all complete. Just finished Thronebreaker too. Going to get back into Tomb Raider and maybe start something big in my backlog, I'm thinking maybe finally start Persona 5.
I'm working most of the weekend unfortunately but I did play a couple of tracks of CTR an hour or so ago and I'm glad it's finally out.
I also discovered Peggle 2 after a recent Eurogamer video and I'm now hooked. It's glorious.
Clearing out the backlog. Rise of the Tomb Raider and Fist of the North Star. Not sure what fighting game I want to throw in. Maybe Dead or Alive 6 or Street Fighter V.
I’ve cracked open The Handsome Collection and ported over my level 35 Siren and am rediscovering the greatness of Borderlands 2. I also have Persona 5 to put some time into. If I get sick of this then I might jump into something new and different like Rayman Legends or Hellblade.
A bit of a retro themed weekend for me starting with Spyro remastered, not a game I ever really played back then so it's all new to me and I think its fantastic. One of those games that reminds you why you have this hobby in the first place and is just a joy to play so definitely one I'm sticking with and will likely go for all 3 plats. Sticking with the theme I'll also be playing a bit of Crash and og FFVII whilst trying to decide between buying Crash Team Racing or Bloodstained on Monday
MHW , if anyone wants to help me do the siege quest please let me know ✌🏽
After having owned Terraria for nearly six years (first on PS3, then PS4), today me and my eldest son finally defeated the Moon Lord in an epic half-hour battle.
This is a big day for him. We will spend the rest of the weekend roaming the world like kings with our new loot, laying waste to anyone or anything who looks at us sideways.
If I get any grown-up gaming in, it'll be Borderlands 2 or Sekiro.
I’m 3 trophies away from the Shenmue platinum, I cannot believe I waited 20 years to play this amazing game.
I'm 7 hours into Battle Chasers: Nightwar and really liking it. I missed out on this hidden gem.
I have played a bit of CTR but have to admit I'm pretty bad at it. I do fine when it's just normal racing but the other kinda races in adventure mode are giving me fits.
Playing through the single player story in Crash Team Racing. Also reached the ending in Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask earlier, so I'm going to do some of the events and collect some of the heart pieces and other items I missed. I'm also playing Hitman 2, nearing the end of the main story now.
I'm playing Watch Dogs 2 and I'm really liking it. It feels more like a puzzle game most of the time, having to work out the best way to stealthily hack stuff using just Marcus' gizmos. I even like the Dedsec crew. Yes, they're cliche and stereotypical and all that but i think they're all such a likable bunch and very well acted. I don't know why most people hate the characters so much. There's some decent writing in here, too.
Having never played Crash Team Racing back in the day I was quite excited for the Remaster...I'm loving it but wow I am SO bad at it!Not even going to attempt multiplayer yet until I get better at the controls..
Other games I'll be playing this weekend are..The amazing and never ending Assassins Creed Odyssey,The Walking Dead Final Season and on the Switch Octopath Traveller.
CTR and a bit more of FF7.
Getting back into Final Fantasy XIV today.
Just beat bowser today in Mario odessey during some downtime from pool/beach on holidays in Greece with my daughter. Mythos time now, yamas 🍻🍻
prey .bioshock collection.and shadow warriors 2.word up son
Trying to get better at CTR Nitro-fueled (no way am I even gonna attempt multiplayer yet!), Days Gone (day 796), Rage 2, Warhammer Chaosbane, and maybe some Division 2.
Mainly playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney By far the funniest video game I’ve played so far this year. I’ll also be playing a bit of God of War 3 Remastered when I get the urge to kill.
messing around on some old Dragon Ball games, Revenge of King Piccolo on the Wii and Raging Blast 2 on the PS3
i'm also thinking of jumping back on the first XenoVerse game because i only need 2 trophies to platinum it but because of that games horrendous RNG system getting all the attacks is virtually impossible
@LobsterJohnson - I got the Shenmue platinum a few days ago, I originally played it when it launched on the Dreamcast and was amazed at how much of it I remembered.
Jumping forward almost 20 years from then to today and I'm now playing Judgment, a game that probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Shenmue. It's astounding how much that template was groundbreaking back then and has gone on to still influence games to this day.
Deciding whether or not to make a new character in ESO. Also starting mirrors edge catalyst, enjoying it so far 😁
Making my way through days gone now at day 830ish, and looking forward to judgement
@LN78 have fun, Astro Bot is one of my favourites this generation, also check out the ps store there is a surprising amount of demos for VR and some cool animations like Invasion
Started Dark souls Remastered, came across the bell Gargoyles and got my arse handed to me once the 2nd one joined the fight! Need to farm souls and get back to the weapon smith i came across whilst i decided to do a run for it play, enjoying it though, completed The Messanger on Friday night too so that was great!
@Hootnoodle Mirrors Edge Catalyst is a really fun time. Enjoy!
Playing bloodstained on ps4. It’s castlevania symphony of the night in all but names, the animations, enemy design, gameplay, music, etc, it’s castlevania symphony of the night 2 that’s I always wanted. It has been 22 years but finally I can play the sequel to one of my most beloved games of all time
At first I’m a little disappointed because my backers code arrived late, but after seeing people’s save is rendered unusable because the game has bugs, yeah I’m glad my copy is arriving one days late and already receiving the patch lol.
On switch I currently playing shantae and the pirate curse, man shantae games is so good, half-genie hero is my first shantae game (like bloodstained, backed it on ks) but I’ve been playing shantae older games, I have them on ps4 but besides half-genie hero, playing shantae older games on 55inch 4k tv isn’t a good experience, it’s perfect on the switch though
On ios I just bought (discounted) crypt of necrodancer, I don’t like the gameplay so zelda cadence of hyrule is a pass for me. Still waiting for link awakening remake though, I hope I can get the europe special edition, but I think it will be too expensive in my country 😅
@LN78 I cant say I've ever experienced that, is the camera perfectly straight or the headset when you have it on? I'm at a loss with that one
@wiiware I'm glad to here such positive news about Bloodstained, definitely picking this up on Monday as I adore Symphony of the Night
Got the week off, and apart from a uni visit with my eldest daughter I hope to start and put a fair chuck of time into farcry 5. I really enjoyed the fourth in the series, just hope I don't get to over powered to soon like before. As half way through number 4 it just became to easy.
I've been streaming the Monsters Hunter World :Iceborne beta. It's pretty good and the clutch claw is quite the improvement. I missed it when I went back to play the base game. I'm also gonna stream Dragon Quest 11 on PS4. I'm 75hrs in.
A lot of CTR
...a lot
@Shigurui Platinum achieved. Although I had never played it before, it instantly transported me back to 1999/2000 and when I used to constantly plead with my parents to buy me a Dreamcast (Never did happen ☹️) this game really deserves to be played by everyone, can’t wait to start the second game. Judgement is high on my wish list but need to clear some of the backlog first.
After the bitter sweet ending of Toy Story 4 I'm going to be playing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled which is amazing but I'm kind a sad that they didn't include Nina Cortex hopefully she will be added as the free DLC later on
Got my 100% for The Last of Us on PS3, so servers close all you want! Then I recently got 100% on Don’t Starve which was a real challenge.
Now I’m going back to Darksiders on PS3 and finishing it up.
Mainly PSVR finished Raw Data and Second play through of Blood and Truth now onto BL2
@BridgeToClarity I’m fascinated to read your brief initial thoughts on KC:D. I have also kept it in the back of my mind as a curious looking game. Maybe one if these days I’ll try it. It sounds quite unique and very immersive. I’d love to read more as you progress further, maybe in the forums if you have time. 🙂
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
I realise I'm late to the party on this one but im currently playing Nino Kuni 2 Revenant kingdom. Having vastly enjoyed the 30 hours I've played so far, I think I'll be going for the platinum.
CTR and snooker 19 still can't get a 147 am I rumbo?
A bit of Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, Shadow of War, Division 2 and also some Fortnite!
Also if you guys didn't see it yet, our lord and saviour Crowbcat posted an E3 video
@R1spam Enjoy your time in Greece. Be sure to also try ouzo and tsipouro, if you want something stronger. Γεια σου!
After beating Ni no Kuni 2, I decided to stick around and complete everything the game has to offer. I just need 2 more citizens to complete my kingdom.
This game was such a grower. Glad I got the season pass with the special edition.
@BridgeToClarity Very Interesting indeed.
I've been playing the siege on Monster Hunter World, good fun!
Only simulation games this weekend: Hunting Simulator and The Hunter (Call of the Wild) on the ps4. Then some Train Sim World, American (Washington dlc) + Euro Truck Simulator, and Sailaway on the PC. The last one, Sailaway, is a sailing simulator. It's almost like Microsoft Flight Simulator X in that you pick a spot in a huge world-map, and then just go there and sail away. It offers ship racing as well, but I'm still learning the game and sandbox is ideal for that.
Ps4: south park the fractured but Whole
Nintendo switch: Zelda BOTW
Got Xenoblade chronicles 2 for my birthday:) never played it but watched Some reviews seems execiting
Got a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for next to nothing on Amazon. I’m totally getting my inner treasure hunter on.
Finally finished ploughing endless hours into Civ 6 and now think I’m ready to see what all the fuss is about with Celeste...
far cry new dawn nice easy game
Final Fantasy XII, I wasn’t a big fan of it when it first came out because it was such a departure from what I was used to. After giving it a second chance, I’m really enjoying it.
Adventures of Mana for vita
Just took delivery of CTR. I can't even get past Crash Cove on hard, jesus. Been at it nearly 2 hours haha. I had 100% original on ps1 and vita, but nope, this is hard as hell.
@wiiware there is an option to turn off the beat aspect & it becomes a rogue lite strategy game in Cadence of Hyrule.
@Derpie1 Does in that mode we have to use different character like in the original game, the music is different, or there’s no story mode, or is it the same game but without the rhythm gameplay?
@wiiware I think it’s the same but now it’s more like chess or like SuperHot when you move the enemies move so it becomes Zelda Chess or a Zelda strategy game. You use the same character you’re currently using but you can go 2P & with a friend have Cadence join in to help you out.
https://youtu.be/bFwYqmxElF0 This video explains it.
Nice, I think I’m gonna buy this game, thanks for the info
