Our hype for the PlayStation 5 reached new heights yesterday as a slew of new information detailed the likes of its controller, user interface, and a confirmed release window, and it looks like we weren't the only ones either. The director of production at Marvel Games got in on the action with a tweet that confirmed his own excitement.
Eric Monacelli, the lead on 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man and the upcoming Marvel's Avengers and Marvel's Iron Man VR, took to Twitter to prove how much he's looking forward to the future of PlayStation. Responding to Sony's confirmation that the PS5 will be launching in the holiday 2020 season, he simply said that the future is cool.
It has become clear that Sony and Marvel Games share a great partnership. After releasing Marvel's Spider-Man exclusively on PlayStation 4, Marvel's Iron Man VR can only be found on PlayStation VR and Marvel's Avengers has its marketing rights tied up with Sony. A Marvel's Spider-Man 2 from the recently acquired Insomniac Games is almost inevitable, such is the strength of this particular relationship. Don't expect it until at least 2022, but we reckon the web-slinger returning on PS5 exclusively is a very safe bet.

Can you really blame them with the way that Spiderman went? I wonder what there expectations were for the game (in terms of sales) and if it's going to have an impact on how successful they think Avengers will be
Not so much with Disney though.
You think marvel games and Disney could nudge ultimate alliance 3 onto the ps4? No....
@Flaming_Kaiser It's the same company now, though. If Disney hated them, Marvel would too because Marvel is a part of Disney.
@Matroska I know they are the same. Yeah the 50/50 showed some big love a wanting too take 45% extra without a good reason. 😉
@Cutmastavictory Not when Nintendo owns the publishing rights. Much like Bayonetta 2 and 3, if not for Nintendo MUA3 simply would not exist.
As for PS5 and Spider-Man 2, I can't wait. The first game captured everything about Spider-Man from his mannerisms, his social life, the baddies, and his movement flawlessly. It felt like playing a comic book written by Stan the Man himself, and that ending was perfect. I can't wait to see what they do next.
