If the recent TV advert for DOOM Eternal which had us all questioning the choice of music put you in a state of concern, you can now worry no longer. Bethesda has put out a new video teasing the game's heavy metal soundtrack alongside how the team put it together, and it all sounds like something truly special. Check out the video above to see what we mean.
In order to put together some of the religious chanting which makes up a lot of the audio, the development team actually put out a call for heavy metal singers to apply to be a part of the soundtrack. Those chosen got together to rehearse and perform some of the most foreboding music you're ever going to hear in a video game. With a welcome commitment to making sure the choir was 50% and 50% female, it appears to be shaping up tremendously well.

Does video special about metal...
Ends video with dubstep smh.
Otherwise that was very interesting! Love that the vocalist of aborted is in there!
This actually makes me want to get the game
Awesome, that music is a perfect fit for the game
@Gmork___ Brutal death metal and DOOM? Yes please!
@munkondi Why?
@ShaiHulud sure they could go with any of the modern stuff, pathology, abominable putridity, or any of the ectomy bands lol but itd be truly badass to have the classics like suffo, dying fetus, etc!!
@Gmork___ That'd be grand! Imagine walking around Mars in Doom 3 with Nile on the background? I mean, the score of Doom 16 was alright, but I do think it was a bit tame.
@TheInfantFinite If you like your black metal I can suggest Asagraum who are an excellent female three piece.
@ShaiHulud nile is playing a tiny club here later this year! Im SOOOOOOOOO freakin excited!!
@ArmyofOne nah, noone has anything against rap per se, it's just a bad fit for Doom. This, on the other hand, fits perfectly.
Hope this OST retains the chainsaws from the 2016 one, it was a genuinely genius touch 👌🏻😄
