Who doesn't love earning Trophies? The system implemented on PlayStation 3 and expanded to PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in the time since is now firmly one of our favourite features -- allowing us to track our progress through games with a lovely trinket. Better yet, the Trophy system has now reached a new milestone. As reported by TrueTrophies, an impressive 10,000 PlayStation games now support Trophies.
To mark the occasion, the website has provided an incredible breakdown of various details which pertain to the users signed up to TrueTrophies. 57 per cent of all Trophies can be found on PS4, while PS3 plays host to 26 per cent and PS Vita makes up the numbers with 17 per cent of the pie. God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End are four of the site's top five most played games. And if you wanted to earn every single Trophy the PlayStation platform has to offer, you'd be looking at having 297,265 trinkets to your name. That sure is a lot! TrueTrophies also concludes that across all of its users, the average Trophy level is 22 with 29 Platinum Trophies to their name.
Can you beat those statistics? Are you doing better than the average? Share your own Trophy stats in the comments below.

Level 14 with 17 platinums, 2 of those platinums are from the same game (Persona 4 Dancing All Night PSVita and PS4). I have some catching up to do...
Level 26, 81 platinums! Absolutely love trophy hunting, have been hooked since I first got my ps3!
I don't even care with trophies.
I play my PS3 and PS4 games without thinking about getting trophies or Completion challenge.
Level 34 with 131 Platinums. I mainly use trophies to squeeze that extra mile out of each game (if I like the game to begin that is).
I love trophy hunting overall, but I sincerely hate MP trophies in single player games. Even in games like The Last Of Us.
I hope they stop with that crappy move next-gen. Not fun having 90%+ in a game and only missing 1 or 2 trophies for platinum when you don't want to play MP-games to begin with.
That said, LoU MP is great fun but it should be seperate as they will do it in Last Of Us Part II. At least Naughty Dog learned their lesson.
I currently have 95 platinums, I haven't gone for any in a few months though. Quite a few games I'm determined to play before the PS5 arrives, that's my priority at the moment.
@Zeke68 Oh man, multiplayer trophies are my biggest peeve with any game. Especially when it is a game that doesn't have any active people playing the multiplayer as they have moved onto the next game or even worse... the servers for the game are shut off so even if you wanted to get them, you just can't..
@Anti-Matter same, I find I enjoy the games a lot more without thinking about the trophies and if anything I'd like to turn them off
@Anti-Matter @carlos82
Some games like Spiderman is great because if you play the entire game and do most sidequest stuff you pretty much end up with the Platinum anyway.
@MS7000 Yeah, I had that problem with Sniper Elite 3 because I bought it just as Sniper Elite 4 was released. I ended up buying the game again for my daughter and she helped me with the co-op trophies. Now we both have platinum on that game hehe
Level 14 and 6 Platinums (I'm getting old, so bare with me)
Level 13 with 0 Platinums. Probably because i don't go seeking for 100% trophy completion. Although i am close to my 1st Platinum with Spyro 3.
I'm only level 12 with 7 platinums. Got some catching up to do.
@Zeke68 I do have a few Platinums and they're all from games that pretty much gave me them for playing how I would normally play. These days I have no interest in going out of my way to get them and certainly don't miss them when I play games on older consoles or Switch
That average is pretty high! I'm currently Level 52.
5 year old account, 34 platinums to my name, and just north of 3,000 trophies. Level 19. I'd be higher if I hadn't been a PC gamer for most of my teens and 20's.
Platinums I'm proud of: Sekiro (Enough said) / UFC 2 (That training trophy i remember being a major pain) and probably Monster Hunter World for the sheer determination to get all those gold trophys for the big and small sizes.
Level 54, 15 419 trophies, 251 platinums !
My rarest is Trackmania Turbo I think... I'm proud of this one to be honest. ^^
I have a pitiful number of platinums and owe most of them to Telltale Games
In terms of average, I am not really surprised by the number of Platinums but by the level. After a while it takes forever to progress a level (at least for me).
I am level 17 with 11 Platinums. I almost never set out to Plat a game, and get my few just by playing. But I do enjoy trophies as a way to pursue challenges in games and remember the events of a game.
10,000 not regarding that every game has a platinum but we still have those that double or triple plat the same game not to play the game again but because quite a few plats are very easy.
I just wish Sony separated the PS3, PS4, Vita as separate lists in your profile and I wish I could get rid of MAG off my list it's at 5% but the game server is dead games like that should be just removed if I want it too
Hit level 21 & 50th platinum last night with MK11
Lol I do have exactly 29 platinums... But only level 20
Now if they would only add trophies to the PS1/PS2/PSP catalog and will be set 👍
Level 31: 103 plats
Level 14
10 Plats
66 Gold
232 Silver
1253 Bronze
I only go for the trophy in games i truly enjoy.
Level 9 with 1 platinum (Mark of the Ninja: Remastered). Yah for me!
I'm surprised that I'm ahead of my daughter--she's level 6 with 1 platinum (Donut County).
I think level 16 and 7 platinum? Only 1 platinum from PS3 because most of other games have unfortunately multiplayer trophies, other way it would be around 25 platinums.
Interesting! But i spend time in the mass effect trilogy. Cant get enough lol especially now.
Thanks for the read
Hate to be that guy... What's the actual point of trophies? Is it actually worth it and you get actual rewards like user icons or potential discounts for the store? I'd be more inclined to get trophies if my efforts are genuinely rewarded than just having notifications that yield nothing.
@Saro I actually believe the US implemented a system similar to what you stated. It was never rolled out to Europe, and I'm not sure it's still active in the US now.
Anyway, to answer your question, some people (well, at least speaking for myself) enjoy chasing trophies as a way to enhance the game, and to experience the most challenging aspects of the game.
Some games fall short of the mark when making platinums and they end up being cumbersome, time wasters. Personally, I tend to avoid those games, and rarely bother finishing them for the platinum. But if the trophies involve being games at harder difficulties, I enjoy earning those trophies as a way to enhance my gaming experience, and to do content I might not have normally pushed myself to do.
@Grindagger I have heard about plans for that, but never saw it implemented, despite living in the US. And I understand why one would enjoy trophies for hard games. Can be seen as irrefutable proof of accomplishment. Still, I enjoy accomplishing the in game achievements for games like Persona 5 Royal, as they actually reward you with more than just a trophy. In this case, unlocking a digital plaque for a wall and also in-game currency I can use. Not much, but I'm not complaining.
Level 35, 103 platinums. 130 games 100%. And I still love me some trophy hunting. The best way to extend your value for dollar spent on games.
@Grimwood Problem is who decides what's the best of the best? I have loved games that everyone else is indifferent to. For example WET, Lollipop Chainsaw, Dirt 2/3, Horizon Chase Turbo (plat), etc. It would be a pity to only have the chance to play critic darlings if they are not your thing, E.G. The last of us. I prefer rise of the tomb raider.
Time to start rolling out the "Don't forget who you love" bids...
Sony have been the doorway for the developers not the creaters. They provided money and marketing for them and profited. Now they want US to pay again just 6 years later to keep playing... Being encouraged into allegiance based on the contrivances they created is a bit on the vulgar side wouldn't you say?
So shameless.
Right now there's a free option staring you in the face. You Tube influencers have convinced you all it's garbage but If you don't believe me go try it. The games you want are coming to Stadia. And you won't have to pay anything but the cost of the game. Not even for multiplayer.
If it doesn't seem to be working right away put a little effort in to find out why. I GUARANTEE it's not down to the service. Believe me.
I'm 89% through level 20 and only have 1 platinum and that is from Need For Speed and got it on accident
