As the PlayStation 4 release schedule begins to slow down due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a lot of you will be turning to your backlogs for some video game entertainment. However, what if you've got so much time on your hands that you don't actually have one in the first place? That's where a PlayStation Now subscription comes into play, and Sony has kindly discounted the service by 25% in both the UK and the US for new subscribers.
Through until 10:00 BST/10:00 PDT on 29th April 2020, those residing in the United Kingdom and the United States of America can grab a 12-month subscription to PlayStation Now for just £37.49/$44.99. Sony's streaming and download service has gone from strength to strength over the past year or so, now choosing to include big AAA PS4 titles as part of the package. Right now, you could add Marvel's Spider-Man, Control, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider to your download list and stream various PlayStation 3 titles within just a few seconds. That's some real bang for your pound coin right there.
So, if you feel like subscribing to PlayStation Now at a discount, head on through this link for those in the UK. US users can grab the discounted subscription through here. Alternatively, you could sample the service with a free seven-day trial and then choose to subscribe after the week is up. It's your choice, but either way saves you a healthy amount of money.

With slowed down network, psn and local providors. No thanks
Shopto are also doing discounts on PSN vouchers so you get it even cheaper if you buy a £40 one.
@AdamNovice Very good shout!
Well worth it imo.
While I probably don't get full value out of in terms of using it that much, I still like having it. Being able to dip in and out of hundreds of games is awesome.
I've recently played a bit of OlliOlli and the Devil May Cry HD collection. There are so many games on there.
As someone who used to rent games from blockbuster quite a lot, it really makes me appreciate services like this nowadays. The value compared to what we used to get is insane
Never tried PlayStation Now although I've always been tempted and that price is extremely good value but my backlog really is HUGE so there's not much point.
Pity you can’t use this to stack an existing sub...new customers only!!
I’d get it if it supported Mac. I could play at work then. Haha.
Whilst I am tempted. I heard a rumour that PlayStation now rentals could override game that you had purchased through the PlayStation store. You could lose those games when the PlayStation now subscription ends or they leave the service.
Do you know whether or not this is true?
no thanks, i have no plan to support something that will kill physical games and make gaming a crap netflix rental service.
Hell of a deal if you've got the internet for it! Really underrated service, hope its more of a focus going into next gen!
I wish I could stream all the games I already own digitally...but unfortunately that's not what this is! It would also be cool if the Vita was still supported. Anyway...I think it's time to get this!
Also, PSA : a few months ago, Sony let everyone have another 7-day PS Now trial if they already used it (which I had, years ago lol), so give that a shot if you're not sure about performance! And it seems like it won't let me buy the $45 deal while the trial is active, so...make sure your trial ends before the deal ends, lol.
Also note that if you're planning on using this on PC and are NOT using a Dualshock 4 controller, there's absolutely NO way to emulate the touchpad, so certain games are unplayable (i.e. I can configure my gun in Control, therefore I can't get past the beginning of the game).
I picked up a year of PS Now when it dropped to $59.99 US. Many games you do not have to stream you can download and install them. most older games you need to stream. Well worth the price and a excellent value even more so at $44.99.
It's 25% off on the Swedish PS store too.
@TheBuzz Too young to remember when videogame rental places were everywhere? That didn't kill off buying games and turn gaming into a rental service only.
@Ryall Nope.
@Ryall
Yes if you download a game via ps now app that you already own it overrides your license
