Just a remaster, or are 1 &/or 2 being remade?

Hoping you can buy Mafia 1&2 separately. I did everything on Mafia 3 including dlc so not much reason to revisit

This is one franchise I really tried to get in to, but I tried playing Mafia 1 years after its release and I think I got frustrated on one of the car missions and gave up. Since I never finished the first, I never made it to the sequels, and I'm the kinda guy that likes to start from the beginning when starting a new franchise.

So this would actually be a great way for me to try the franchise again.

@get2sammyb I agree with you as much I liked Mafia 3 I won't probably play it just the other two for sure.

Didn't think they'd remake/remaster the first game. It's in my top 5 games so really looking forward to seeing more of it.

I really hope they have remade the first game or at least given it some enhancements and updated the second. I will definitely get this at some point jusg for the first 2 games

Great news! However, if this is just a remaster of 1 and 2 then I'm not going to bother.

Got 3 on plus and have yet to give it a go, the soundtrack alone makes me want to play it at some stage

Well the trailer didnt show the original Mafia, so it could be 2, 3 and a new one. Fingers crossed the original is in there.

Me too, man! I've been dreaming about a mafia remake for years.

This is an awesome, unexpected surprise. I would love to revisit a remastered Mafia. The original was hampered greatly by the processing power of the ps2, although for the time it was an impressive port of an awesome PC game. I think it's incredibly odd releasing two first, followed by the original and presumably the 3rd. And since Mafia 3 is current gen I can't imagine much will change there, so that's also pretty odd. I guess we'll see Tuesday. And although 2 wasn't my fav I suppose if the price is right and the game has been given the requisite amount of overhaul I could see going back in.
