It looks as though PlayStation 5 controllers are beginning to arrive at retail warehouses around the world. Over on Twitter, one eagle-eyed fan spotted a DualSense shipment at Walmart, and promptly took a photograph of the pad’s packaging to prove it:
And on Reddit, one user noticed a marketplace listing for the PS5 controller in their local area. The markup of $100 doesn’t seem particularly worth it, but it’s more evidence that these are beginning to filter out into the wild:
We know that any next-gen accessories purchased through the PlayStation Direct store will ship from 30th October, and we imagine other major retailers will follow suit. That means you could have this pad in your hands within a couple of weeks. Excited?

100 dollar 💲Really?!
I really hope Sony causes some confusion and then retailers release the system earlier as well. 🤞
100 dollars seems a bit to high for a controller (unless it's for the taxes of course)
If I get my controller early i will put on that PS5 UI video on YouTube and pretend I have a PS5 Well + pretend I am playing that AMAZING looking Ratchet and Clank game to
Got an email from yesterday saying that my pulse headset is being dispatched on the 12th, hopefully they make a mistake and send out the ps5 for the 12th too lol, but unfortunately that still says 19th, how good would it be if Sony have just been teasing us for 19th and decided to release on 12th lol.
Can't wait to try ps5 dpad and compare it to psvita dpad
Having a controller without the console isn't the most useful thing in the world.
I don't find much exciting about this dualshock 1.5. It's just a PS1 controller with a slight redesign. Hopefully the PS6 will have a proper modern asymmetrical controller.
@Rhaoulos Noooooooo I really dislike asymmetrical controller design. I'm so glad Playstation have stuck with the layout they have.
I’ve got a controller, media remote and headset being delivered in the 12th in the Uk. Stupid that I’ve got to wait a week for the actual console.
@Rhaoulos
? Like the ps1???!
It has motion control, reactive triggers and haptics (along with a pretty useless touchpad). It’s the most advanced controller their is.
I must have misunderstood you, if so I apologise for assuming such a level of lunacy, did you actually suggest the dualsense controller is just a redesigned ps1 pad?
And asymmetric sticks are awful for me btw, but that’s a matter of personal taste, your original assertion was actually objectively nonsensical.
Can the dual sense be used on PS4? Can it be used with the PS4 games on ps5? Am I going to need to keep controllers?
wondering if Best Buy warehouse also got dualsense shipment too
@NateGoesLive no i don't think it gonna work on ps4 system
I can't wait to have a smell of one of these bad boys!
DS4 controllers were around weeks before the PS4 launched so not too surprising. Going to see if I can find one that fell off a truck lol!
@NateGoesLive The dualsense will definitely work with playing PS4 games on the PS5, as far as it working directly on a PS4 I assume it will but we will see.
@thefourfoldroot he a troll
@Daleaf I did too, hope they change the release date to 12th for the console as well, I cannot wait another day nevermind a week. I actually would pay a bit more to get it early dunno why they left the UK behind with the rest of the world as we have a huge gaming community here as well.
I really dig that minimalist box design. I can't wait to find out that feels like in my hands! Looks like the best controller Sony has made so far.
@AlphaCodec yea it's strange you think Europe and US would be first to get them. It's just worse that some games and accessories are arriving soon just annoying lol
@Ridwaano if you read the article it says somebody tried to sell it for $100 in the classifieds.
The controller is $60-70 in stores
@Milt it's not $100, that's what somebody tried to sell the controller for in the classifieds, it's $60-70 , important to read the words
@MakaZA
Yeah I know. But why will you sell it for 100 dollar when you can preorder it and get it in 13¶days
Do they pair with the PC or with Android devices? Will be interesting to see.
@deathaxe it does makes sense in regards to the extra week. And yes i do hope so too! cannot bare any additional delays.
@Daleaf well I suppose having the games and accessories will make the time go a bit faster, we can put it on a shelf overlooking a bed and stare into them to the point of deep sleep and dream playing that game to wake and play that game...
@deathaxe that's true ... You have China Sea > Malaca Strait > Indian Ocean > Red Sea > Suez Canal > Mediteranian Sea > Gibraltar Strait > Atlantic Ocean > UK. And that's not only one vessel. Shipments from China get passed between 3 to 4 vessels until they will reach Europe, additionally the vessels have fixed lines so you have to take in account other ports along the way. From China to US if no port along the way it's around 20 days to cross the Pacific.
@AlphaCodec I'm in the UK and have to wait until early December as I'm getting the PS5 as a 50th birthday present from my partner.... On the one hand it's incredibly generous of her, on the other...damn that's going to be a tough couple of weeks 🙂
When you put it that way I think those couple of weeks will fly by. Especially given that you'll have plenty of hands on reviews and game performance
tests and such to review or preview shall I say yourself.
Excited? If this were about the PS5 itself, yeah, for sure. But for an accessory, that, due to the console's preorder and launch shortages, I won't be able to actually use for a few months, mmmm... no, not so much.
Quick question on dual sense. I know the LEDs show what player the controller is for, but if you are solo, can that be changed to show charge level?
@Ridwaano because they are taking advantage of people who want to pay $30 extra because they are impatient and have more money than sense.
@SilkySmile89 weren't they supposed to be shipping by air freight to avoid delays? Or have they cancelled that plan.
@Rhaoulos the controller is one reason I don't play my xbox much. The ps controller is much more comfortable for me.
I got an email this morning from my Walmart Preorder with pickup on October 30th! I'm in Winnipeg, MB, Canada for reference.
@GamingFiend
My 50th is December 5th, but giving myself an early present 😆
@Spoonman-2 Congrats! Mine is Dec 12th. I'd have definitely got one for myself - I did have an Amazon pre-order, but going to have to wait it out now! She did say I could have it early but I felt it would be disrespectful really, and would cheapen the event a bit...we only get one 50th, after all
At least I won't be short of stuff to read and watch online - going to be a crazy amount of articles, hardware/software reviews and the like during that period.
@Tash85 first batch of preorders but after is by sea. But any way they already start to ship this both ways.
