Sackboy: A Big Adventure PS5 Story Trailer Is Suitably Sweet

Disappointed at the lack of Fry but this still looks enjoyable indeed. Sumo Digital is a developer you can rely on to make a high quality game. Will be one of my first purchases for the PS5.

Pre-ordered my special edition yesterday!

At least it's not $70. Then I'd have to demand Stephen Fry. It still won't be the same without him, though.

Excited for this though! This is the only launch day game I'm getting. Not into Soulsborne, and Spiderman pricing made that a "defer for sales" purchase. LBP games were always wonderful but always gimped in favor of the creator aspects except the Vita one. Can't wait for a fully fledged Sackboy game. This looks like a cross between LBP and Tearaway, which can't be a bad thing at all!

So is the PS4 version getting a different story trailer or no story at all in the PS4 version or is the PS4 digital only so no box art?

Reading the article I couldn't even remember if this was coming out on PS4 or not - my brain keeps confusing it with Astrobot I think - but then I finally saw the Related Games section at the bottom.

So, anyone wondering if Sackboy just being brown boring Sackboy in the trailer means lots of $ DLC skins like LBP had?

Probably more excited for this than any other launch title

@rjejr I suspect the PS4 version will look about the same and will have the same content just with slightly slower loading times. Be interesting to know if the game is Pro enhanced for 4K.

You'd think a website devoted to Playstation would let people know what Playstation consoles games are coming out on, but it's all about the clicks, and PS4 games don't get clicks, PS5 games do. So now I'm going to have to spend the next year or so reading every article about every new Playstation 5 game trying to remember or figure out if it's also coming out on the PS4.

I almost stopped using this website 6 years ago when the same thing happened with PS4 games also releasing on PS3. Drove me nuts. And I was a lot saner back then, been a rough 4 years.

Ya know, if Sony just would have kept to their "We know generations" mantra this wouldn't be much of an issue, but with games like Spiderman Mike's Morales, Sackboy and Horizon Forbidden West also comingto PS4 it makes me wonder about future games like God of War. I think that will be PS5 only, but who really knows?

C'mon PushSquare, give us some PS4 details too! There are probably about 115 million units out there and not everyone is going to update to a Vorlon just yet.

@sanderson72 Man, I had to Google "Vorlon" and B5 is 1 of my favorite shows. This is why I can't keep up with which console a game is going to be on.

When I read Vorlon my brain immediately went to Kronos. I thought maybe Sony could use it for future PS5 ads but it really should be an ad for Xbox Series X. 😂
