Star Wars: Squadrons developer EA Motive said it was "not planning to add more content" after the game's launch back in early October. And yet here we are, roughly six weeks later, with an official post detailing two new updates planned for the coming weeks that will add a new map and two more ships to pilot. We can't complain, of course, but it is a bit of an odd correction course. Still, it's more content for those still playing and that's great.
Next week on 25th November 2020, update 3.0 will add a new map to multiplayer. Named Foster Haven, it's taken from the campaign's prologue mission and will be available in the Fleet Battles and Dogfight modes. The new location will also be accompanied by a long list of fixes and balance changes. Then, in December, another update will add another two Starfighters — those being the B-wing and TIE defender.
Creative director Ian Frazier closes out the post by saying: "Thank you for putting your faith in us, thank you for joining the Squadrons community, and thank you for helping us to make the game even better through all your feedback. And especially, a big thanks to those of you who supported us even before launch. It's because of your backing that we were able to get a bit of a head start on concepting all this cool new stuff. You really did make a difference. Take care, and see you in the stars!"

Smart. Under promise, over deliver.
That's great... Only trouble is I pick up my PS5 tomorrow and I have too many new games to play to go back to that game now lol.
Not played this since launch, it was fun but for some reason doesn’t get to the top of my must play titles
Great news. But I won’t be playing again until I get my PSVR adaptor.
This is actually a little unsurprising. Maps for this game can’t be too difficult to design (one is essentially flying around inside a skybox) and given that this is repurposed from the single-player it’s even more understandable that this has been added.
Squadrons doesn’t need huge content updates, but a drip-feed of smaller updates would help to keep the multiplayer alive, as it really is great fun, particularly in VR.
On a side-note, is it just me that prefers to refer to single player mode/story mode exactly as such and not call them the “campaign”? I appreciate its application adheres to dictionary definition in the context of games, but I find it more than often doesn’t suit.
@zupertramp More devs need to do this. Definitely better than promising content then never delivering it.
Did anyone actually believe a word that comes out of EA's mouth
One of the few games that gave the PSVR a major boost on PS5 as well. I can't wait to actually own a PS5 and give this a go.
@SoulsBourne128 Definitely agree.
This is not the game you’re looking for
Did EA take a page out is Sony's marketing book and misunderstood it completely? Maybe they'll revamp their website and remove all useful info like Sony did with their brand new 2005 inspired website
I want this game but I waat on psvr2. Now im stuck between getting it on ps4 or oculus
