Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse, which originally launched on the Xbox all the way back in 2005, is being re-released on PlayStation 4 next month. This is not a remaster of the 15-year-old game — it is the original version of the undead title with the same gameplay style and visuals. Over on the PlayStation Blog, marketing specialist Mallie Rust adds: "Okay, we also added modern resolution support, improved controls and key bindings on modern controllers, and nifty new Trophies. But other than that, it’s the same!" Yay?

This game looks interesting! Having a massive zombie army fighting with you sounds awesome!
Played this when it first came out on the original Xbox, so I'm very very excited about this. When I saw it pop up on today's Nintendo Direct, I immediately began wondering if it meant to hit PlayStation as well. Glad it is!
I wanted to play this game back when I was small but never had the chance, now I can!
Played and finished the game on xbox 360 back then, it's an average game.
That’s wild I just happen to pop in my original Xbox copy in my 360 the other day. I wonder how much??
@joey302 it’s £14.89 on the switch so should be the same.
I bought this off GOG on PC and went to play it a couple of years back. Terrible. Barely playable. The only good thing about this game is its ability to remind you how much better recent lower-budget games are.
I'm so incredibly on board for this whole thing Aspyr's going for! Between all the old Star Wars games they helped bring over and now this! Keep it coming!
Loved the soundtrack on the original. The game wasn't too bad either. Doubt I’d play it again though.
I loved this back in the day. I'm interested to see how it'll play nowadays. Not holding out much hope because games have moved on massively since 2005. Still, might be worth a playthrough.
I really liked it back on the Xbox but I'm not so sure it could possibly be nearly as fun as back then. Definitely seems like an incredibly lazy port
Played this on PC honestly the game is great but the performance wasn’t very good it’s a terrible graphics engine, not quite Cyberpunk level but pretty bad
I always wanted to. But now? With the same graphics from back then? Not so sure...
To be more detailed in my criticism, my issues with the game were performance, graphics, and how the controls felt. The humour felt quite aged too.
For reference, I'm one of those people who occasionally goes back and plays old favourites like the KotOR games, VtM:Bloodlines, the later Jedi Knight games. The graphics on none of those are great (although Bloodlines holds up surprisingly well) but the gameplay makes up for it. KotOR's controls are notoriously bad too, but still felt easier to get used to than those in Stubbs.
All views are of course subjective
@Mrbayram92 hitting the Switch too ok cool thx ☺️
Heh I have installed it on PC a few days ago. ☺️
I'm not sure how many people remember the game since it was an Xbox console exclusive. Copies are stupid expensive now for an Xbox game. I'll probably play it.
Same engine as Halo, if I recall correctly...
