Diablo 2: Resurrected is setting itself up to be more than just a simple remaster, with remake specialists Vicarious Visions at the helm and promising a huge range of improvements. But with the PS5 version specifically, we could be looking at full DualSense controller support, with the studio confirming that it's keen to incorporate haptic feedback.
During a media roundtable for the upcoming title, the developer said: "We’re still working on how we want to use [the DualSense], but the haptic feedback on the controller is a really exciting thing, and so we want to make sure that we take advantage of that."
In theory, haptic feedback could be a great fit for Diablo 2: Resurrected. Being an action RPG, it's not hard to imagine all of the different vibrations that you could feel as you unleash all kinds of spells and abilities. It could certainly bring an additional, meaningful level of feedback to the experience.
Resurrected is set to launch at some point later this year, but we don't have a defined release window just yet. Are you looking forward to thwarting the armies of hell? Bring the slaughter to the comments section below.

Man I spend like half year playing diablo 3 coop with 3 of my friends online on ps4, can't wait to do the same for this game 😃
@wiiware
Heads up for others - no local coop. Which is why I won’t be buying it. If you play online you’re set though.
If only this supported cross-play, my cohorts will be on PC 😔
I want to know if this will have cross-save on the consoles. I don't play on PC, so PC-to-whatever means nothing to me (which is what I assume Blizzard meant when they announced cross-save). But If I can play on PS4/5 and cross-save to my Switch for on the go slaying? I could be buying this more than once.
@thefourfoldroot Most of my friends prefer online gaming now since we usually play at 9-11 pm before sleeping. Although sometimes I sleep in the middle of the game, only for a couple of second though lol.
@Grimwood Diablo 3 is better with gamepad (on ps4), I bought D3 pc version when it's discounted to $20 and I hate playing it with mouse and keyboard, diablo 1 & 2 is fine though. Maybe it's because D3 is more action oriented, while D1 & D2 is more tactical, I wonder if D2 remake plays good on gamepad.
@wiiware
I guess that’s the same with many. For me personally, all my mates “grew out” of gaming, lol. So now I play co-op locally with the wife. Not buying another PS5 and copy of the game to be able to do that in Diablo 2 or any other game though.
@wiiware Half a year? I’ve been playing Diablo II on and off for twenty one years.
Such a good game. Can’t wait to play this on the toilet.

@MFTWrecks Yes, it has cross save, which is amazing.

@BloodNinja I know it has cross-save, but I haven't seen anything that says they mean across all versions/systems. I presume when Blizzard says cross-save they mean PC-to-[a console] and vice versa. AFAIK, they've never supported something like Xbox-to-PS4, or Switch-to-PS5, or PC-to-Switch-to-PS4. That's why I'm waiting for an explicit confirmation from them (unless I missed it somewhere).
@MFTWrecks I'm pretty sure it's across all consoles, but I can't remember which article I read about it, so waiting for confirmation is smart.

Would’ve been cool if they add mouse and keyboard support but that is not the case sadly.
Going to lose so many hours to this game...
I wonder if they've considered a PS5 update for D3 UE?
It already runs at 4K on Pro, so all they need to add is the haptics...
