Update: All three PS Plus games are available to download right now on PS5 and PS4 in Europe, with other regions to follow soon. Oddworld: Soulstorm, as noted below, is ready to roll for Plus members on PS5 only, while Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War can be downloaded and played on both consoles. Which of these titles are you booting up first?
Original Story: Abe makes his triumphant return to PlayStation with the release of Oddworld: Soulstorm. This fresh take on Abe's Exoddus has been a long time coming, but it's finally out on PS5 and PS4 today, 6th April.
As you may be aware, PS Plus members can claim the PS5 version of the game at no extra cost; Soulstorm was announced as one of April's complimentary titles, alongside Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War. Well, the Oddworld title is available right now. Boot up your PS5 and you can add the game to your library, no problem.

Yep just discovered it was up about an hour ago have it downloaded and about to start. I’m so hyped after loving new n tasty
I remember playing the original Oddworld Abe’s Odyssey on ps1 when I was a lot younger and had more patience (life left). It was frustrating but I had many fewer choices so I powered through. I then had a sequel on the Xbox at some point (or maybe 360, I honestly can’t remember) and that had the same bad controls and tedious lemmings-like gameplay.
I have few native ps5 games so might just download this in the hope it’s significantly improved in design from previous games, but I don’t have too much hope, snd lots of other games in my backlog.
Still, I’m impressed Sony has provided PS5 games. I know they likely have to pay much less because of the smaller PS5 player base (hence why PS4 versions are not included), and that it’s an inducement for people to buy a PS5 because they’ll have a bit of a ready library, but it’s cool none the less.
Edit: just a heads up -

I played it for a few minutes before going to sleep (it was available at midnight) and looks like this will be my game of the week.
Loaded it up, have so far had to watch what seems like half an hour of unskippable cut scenes, so considering deleting it!
@tomassi The intro was definitely surprisingly long lol
Downloading it right now, been looking forward to this one since it was announced it was coming to PS5.
Updated! All three PS Plus games are starting to roll out
Oh great. I think my daughter is going to take over the PS5 again haha
Happy to experience Oddworld in custom turn based gameplay 😀
A Soulstorm is coming...
Downloaded Soulstorm before I went to bed last night, so I'm excited to play it this morning.
I’m really looking forward to playing Zombue Army. It looks like great fun. Will definitely play the other two as well.
Oddworld Soulstorm is amazing <3 Goty 2021
@Voltan I know the cut scenes in games are important to some people but I just hate it when there isn't at least the option to skip them. We don't all want to spend that long of our limited gaming time watching and not playing!
I only have about 50GB on my ps5 ssd, I hope at least I can download oddworld soulstorms.
@tomassi While I usually watch all the cutscenes, I agree having an option to skip them is good. In modern games, cutscenes are often a way to hide loading and that's why their not skippable - but this shouldn't be a thing with PS5's SSD and however long that intro was
@wiiware it's 15-ish GB, you should be good
I'll add the Ps5 version to my Plus list and get the Ps4 version soon.
Already own Days Gone, and I've added the other 2 to the library.
US store - still showing last months games as was to be expected - but it should come in handy shortly as I only saw the EU link in the article.

I was able to grab Maquette, missed that one I guess when I grabbed all the rest previously. 🤷♂️
@Voltan Oo, nice. I need to finish my games, man sometimes BC is a curse lol.
Excited to play Soulstorm.
Btw, looks like Zombie Army is getting a patch today that enables it to run at dynamic 4K + 60 fps on PS5
Well, this is strange. I was able to claim Oddworld and Zombie Army 4, but the PS store won't allow me to claim Days Gone. I've never purchased it before. That's odd.
B_Lindz I have same problem ps store won't allow me to claim Days Gone
Anyone struggling to claim odd world? I got the other two but this just errors.
Just noticed the desktop store has screenshots and videos for games now.
Oh my. After 1 hour, this game feels dated and not really good
And Balan Wonderworld got a 3/10 here.
The thing is, Balan also is a game inspired by games from yesterday. But in case of Balan, it feels absolutely good.
But Oddworld, I don't know. Graphics seem like a PS4 Indie Title. Gameplay is straightforward and it's always the same stuff. Chanting or throwing these goofy bottles.
And my Dual Sense has a lot of fun with this. Abe is whacking his Bottle arm all over, thanks to crappy Drifting sticks
@Nintendo4Sonic Are the sticks really that bad? seems that Sony didn't acknowledge the problem so I'm wondering if they will fix it silently just like they fixed the ps4 pro's fan noise in later shipments after red dead 2 was released...
@SamMR I can only speak for myself, since none of my friends have a PS5.
I got my PS5 since Launch Day and also my 1 Dual Sense. I'm someone, who is always very careful with hardware.
The controller still works fine, no problems with the triggers, nothings broke.
But both analog sticks definitely have a little drift. The right stick seems to be a little worse than the left one. But I'm not sure. When I'm playing Dirt 5,everything is fine. In some games, I recognize the drift
This game has some of the best looking visuals I've seen in a game in years.
