Ah, we had been waiting for this one. Originally announced as part of PlayStation's China Hero Project, ANNO: Mutationem is a gorgeous looking cyberpunk adventure game coming to PS5 and PS4. It went gold back in January, and now it has a confirmed release date: 17th March, 2022.
ANNO puts you in the shoes of Ann, a more than capable mercenary who part-times as a bartender. You collect information, take part in minigames, and, of course, kick arse in side-scrolling action stages. It's always looked like a very promising project, so it's good to know that it's finally coming out.

This looks great
Does it have rpg elements to it similar to Dex on ps4?
This does seem interesting 🤔. I like the look of this game.
@Shadcai I’m not sure what Dex is but they do describe this as action adventure with RPG elements.
Anyway, I’ll wait to learn more about what type of game this is exactly but I love how it looks
Liked F.I.S.T. so I'm hoping this one turns good as well. If it does then Sony's Chin Hero Project is off to a good start.
Finally, a indie game that catches my interests. I have a good feeling about this one.
Looks great, I'm in
Played demo on PC, art style is great and gameplay looked promising. Will be definitely getting it.
This looks really neat. I really like the mix between pixel sprites for characters and 3D for the environments. Gives me serious Paper Mario/Bug Fables vibes.
I'll definitely keep an eye on this.
It looks great. I will probably buy this along side HFW and Elden Ring.
Nice to see some of these China Hero Project games finally getting released. Immortal Legacy, F.I.S.T. and now ANNO. Quite few more releases to go with the most notable title Lost Soul Aside.
I've really been looking forward to like...90% of the games that were announced in the China Hero Project.
ANNO is going to get a purchase from me on March 17th!
I don't think we've been giving March enough credit for it's game lineup. We have this, another awesome looking indie game Aztech: Forgotten Gods, Ghostwire Tokyo, and of course Gran Turismo 7. That honestly gives February a run for it's money.
Dayam, that looks gooood!
Looks cool, I'll get it after I finish my Horizon: Forbidden West playthrough.
Just finished Va-11 Hall-A a short while ago and honestly it did leave a cyberpunk-bartender-sized hole in me. Literally would probably not have thought twice about this game otherwise but now I'm intrigued 😂
Sony should highlight some Japanese Indies, it's weird that they never really do. This game does look good, but I'm not sure I want to support Chinese games.
Get on my wanted list.
Just finished the demo, and wow this game is gorgeous, the pixel art mixed with 3d is amazing and the cyberpunk vibes are in full force. The gameplay segments are on a 2d plain and has action combat mixed with platforming, closest thing I can compare it to would maybe be the gunvolt games or maybe blasphemous. The story and exploration is all done in 3d and kinda reminds me of Deus Ex because there is looting random things on the street and crafting elements. Didn't even know this game existed till today but it's now on my wish list.
This has been on my Radar for a while now. Yes March is looking like a pretty good month.
This looks great and i have just wishlisted it. So many games, so little time, i need to retire!
@GorosBat Some good info there, thanks.
Unpopular opinion, is it wrong if I'm not a huge fan of this art direction? The combination of pixel art with detailed 3D style background feels like it's clashing to me.
One of my most anticipated games of 2022, can't wait to play it 😃
I really like the art direction of this game, it somehow remind me of psone generation games like xenogears.
@B_Lindz I’m…kinda with ya! Otherwise looks cool, though. Looking forward to seeing more.
Looks awsome day one.
@Squanch Yeah they have quite a few awsome games indeed i love the style of this one.
@Flaming_Kaiser No doubt. Fantastic art style indeed.
