As announced back in November 2021, today is your final day to buy a digital copy of Jump Force from the PlayStation Store before it's gone forever. Bandai Namco is pulling the game from digital storefronts, meaning a physical copy will be your only option after today. For some reason, though, the fighting title is still full price on Sony's digital marketplace while it's being offered at a huge discount on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Jump Force will be removed from the PS Store, along with all DLC and premium currency, at the following times:
- PST
- 5pm on 7th February 2022
- EST
- 8pm on 7th February 2022
- GMT
- 1am on 8th February 2022
- Japan
- 10am on 8th February 2022
The game will remain playable both online and offline until the 24th and 25th August 2022, when the online servers will be switched off over the course of two days. You will then lose access to multiplayer lobbies and online events, clan functionality, notice and leaderboards, and ranked matches. After that, all you'll have left is any offline content and access to the DLC you previously bought.
Jump Force was never a good fighting game, but it's always a shame to see something go the way of the dodo. In our Jump Force PS4 review, we awarded the title a 5/10. "Thanks to a truly egregious art style and comically bad story presentation, this is an accessible and often fun crossover brawler let down by its disappointingly shoddy packaging. Ultimately, it's difficult not to feel as though all of these classic manga and anime properties deserve much better than Jump Force."

I skipped this one but played the Jump Force before this. It was so bad. I don't get how they keep messing up something that should be a guaranteed money printer.
Im still annoyed that i missed all the Driveclub DLC before that game got delisted. 8 years old and the rain effects still havnt been bettered. Doesnt look like GT7 will come close either from what ive seen.
I honestly would buy the ultimate edition for 10 euros but full price? Wtf
These Bandai Namco anime games are so annoying. Just make a quality game already instead of this half@ssed crap they always put out.
Who doesn't wanna buy an anime mixup fighting game? I sure as hell would, but I also sure as hell won't buy a crappy game and I'm not the only one apparently as they're pulling the plug, as expected.
They always do this and expect a different result. Something something insanity.
Seven Deadly Sins game looks quality. Bandai should take note
it was 5 quid in a recent sale, when I picked it up
I don't know. I bought it and enjoyed it. Hope the next one (if they make one) is even better, but why delist it?
@Kidfunkadelic83 I played Driveclub on the weekend (I also snapped it up before it left the store a couple of years ago) and it is still a beautiful game to look at isn't it. Considering it's age, it's far nicer looking than most other racers since.
I am absolutely terrible at it though! Is there anyway to turn the difficulty down?!
@tomassi its defenately a beutiful looking game considering its 8 years old. I dont think there is buddy. I know you can change the handling to simulation to make it harder tho. Maybe you have that setting turned on by mistake?
I grabbed the game before it left but i didnt get any of the DLC packs unfortunately.
The game was definitely a huge letdown in my opinion. Just so many things went wrong here. The Jump games on the Nintendo DS, now those are worth playing.
Another game that would literally cease to exist if not for physical copies. But digital is the future…
I feel this game looked great on paper, but was executed poorly.
Digital for preservation.
Thankfully I bought this during a recent sale so I'm set.
@art_of_the_kill
With the way right to repair is going, it seems like we're going straight to an era where literally nothing is your possession anymore.
It needs a chip, its own software updates, its own licensed repairs, it has its own expiration date and you the consumer are shhht out of luck
The PS3 one was pretty decent. This one... Well...
As someone who missed out on one last bit of a game’s DLC due to delisting, I sympathise.
But as an Ace Combat 7 fan who saw first hand the entitled frustrations caused by JF fans back in 2018/19, I can’t help but smirk at its delisting after just a few years.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I've looked in settings and I think I have everything right, so I guess I just totally suck at it!!
@tomassi i had a go last night in a Ferrari and span all over the place so i dont think its you 😂 great game tho. Feel free to add me if you want.
Info is in my profile.
So what’s actually going on here then? Why is it not being discounted on the PlayStation store? I’m sure we’ve heard before about devs frustrations with getting things on sale when they want to on psn before
@Brydontk Agreed, the design choise was just silly as well. Should have made it more cartoony like the ArcSys games.
@Legacy2K nah , way too many of those already . we need more fighting games with distinctive looks or semi-realism . literally mortal kombat and injustice are the only 2 out of the other FGs . the rest are all cartoony/anime . and arcsys are one-trick-ponies , all of their games look the same to the extent that it seems like a copy/paste template at this point
@nomither6 I was ArcSys style design but make it 3D like the Jump Force game was. That hasn't been done before, I don't think?
@Bleachedsmiles it was on sale a month ago, ended Jan 7th. Those in the know had the chance to buy it cheap.
I don't see in the article, but why it's being removed? Licensing issues or what?
@Kidfunkadelic83 glad it's not just me! It's the braking, I can't control it at all! Same as you, sliding around all over the place!
I'll add you next time I'm on there dude!
@tomassi years of racing games and rally sims have embedded straight line braking in to my brain. Brake before the bend, not during it 😂
