Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League PS5 PlayStation 5 1

Months after Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was pegged with a 2022 release target, Warner Bros has apparently pushed the promising Rocksteady project back. Respected Bloomberg scribe Jason Schreier reports that the title has been quietly delayed internally, and is now targeting 2023 instead. He cites “people familiar with [the game’s] development”.

There are also rumours that trouble may be afoot for other upcoming Warner Bros projects, including the hotly anticipated Harry Potter role-playing game, Hogwarts Legacy. That was originally due out in 2021, but hasn’t been publicly shown in over a year now. It’d be a devastating blow to the publisher’s lineup for both games to miss 2022 entirely.

We’ll contact Warner Bros and try to get clarification. In the meantime, it is worth noting that officially both games are still on track. Schreier is a highly-respected journalist, however, so confirmation will likely follow if this story is indeed true.
