A trademark for a new title named The Quarry, created by Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games, has been spotted online. The documentation is light on details, but includes the above logo and covers “games software”. This appears to be separate from The Dark Pictures Anthology, which is published by Bandai Namco and will receive its fourth instalment, season finale The Devil in Me, potentially later this year.
We heard prior to Christmas that 2K Games was publishing a new title from Supermassive Games, and that information has been corroborated by a VGC report. Of course, we’ll check with both the publisher and developer to try and get clarification, and will update as and when we learn more. In the meantime, there’s not much to glean from this trademark really – one to keep an eye on, perhaps.

I hope so, Until dawn was a great game
It would be cool if it is separate from their Dark Pictures Anthology. I enjoy those games for what they are, but at this point it makes sense for them to mix it up and do something a bit different.
Would love to get a proper survival horror game from Supermassive.
I bet it's a play on words. Quarry commonly means a dark pit, usually in reference to mining, but can also mean the target or prey of a predator when giving chase.
Given their resume, I wouldn't be surprised if it were some sort of survival horror game about being chased by (or chasing!) other players.
A Damon Galgut video game adaptation?!? haha
It was just a prank Han!
Until Dawn was a very pleasant surprise back in the day, so this is really cool.
Still like to play through until dawn now and then, holds up really well
Recently decided to play it despite having it for years and after corny and super cringey first two hours it surprisingly was very enjoyable game. The first two hours or so was atrocious tho.
@Bamila Until Dawn is 100% both an homage and a parody of every horror movie clichés and tropes, so the cringe stuff is made intentional to resemble the cringe acting of your usual horror movie cast.
Loved Until Dawn. A PS5 exclusive sequel using the decima engine is a dream I have.
I've also really enjoyed the Dark Anthology games, still need to play the most recent. Plugs a niche that I love.
So I'm super interested in what they do with The Quarry.
@WCB House of Ashes is the best one of the anthology... I think you'll really like it!
Supermassive seems like a talented studio. Id like to see them do something more than an interactive movie.
@jFug Thanks! I want to get to it before the next one comes out.
Fingers crossed this game turns out alright!
@WCB I also haven't bought House of Ashes yet, waiting for a $20 sale this Black Friday.
@KidBoruto I bought it day one but haven't played it yet. I really should stop doing that lol.
@WCB I have the same problem, but with buying games that are on sale/clearance lol.
On a serious note I know a friend who does the same thing as you, he buys games day one but then doesn't play them for a year.
He is OCD about playing games in the order he bought them.
