Polyphony Digital pushed out patch 1.06 for Gran Turismo 7 only a week ago, but it's now moved things forward with another update. Version 1.07 is available to download and install right now on PlayStation 5 and PS4, and it makes a whole host of fixes and improvements.
This patch appears to be mostly concerned with squashing bugs or fixing errors, but there is a new feature added that streamers and YouTubers will be happy about. A new Broadcast Mode has been added to the settings menu, which disables all licensed music within the game to prevent any copyright issues.
Elsewhere, there are a bunch of isolated issues addressed such as the wrong tyres being equipped in certain events, an adjustment to the physics model, and more. As we said, this isn't an update filled with exciting additions — just some housekeeping and tidying up, which is fine by us.
Here are the full patch notes.
Main Features Implemented
1. Options
Added a [Broadcast Mode] option to the 'Sound Volume' settings within the 'Global' tab of the Options menu. For details, please refer to the 'Broadcast Mode' Added to the 'Sound Volume' Settings' article.

I love Horizon Forbidden West, but GT7 is, by far, my favourite game of the year so far, and it’s great to see these patches.
@The_Pixel_King I totally agree. Love them both, but GT7 has me hooked big time
I knew it couldnt be me when trying to do that bloody hard rally licence. Took me an evening just to get bronze.
STILL no pre race weather forecast tho.
@Kidfunkadelic83 True the weather forecast should be added as well as soon as possible.
Is it seriously spelled tyres in the UK? How have I never known this?
But glad to see they fixed the licenses. I was really getting tyred of trying to get gold. It was going down to the wyre until I finally had to retyre.
Huge props to Polyphony for fixing the tyres issue on licences so quickly. I tried for ages to get gold on A-8, it wasn't until I looked it up online I found the bug made it practically impossible.
They've cut the payout massively for all the quickest money races. That's going to go down well on message boards and twitter. Haha.
I need to get onto the Licences now they are passable again.
Hopefully it crashes less. Game is wonderful but I lost all my super license golds because the game crashed and I will never not be bitter about that.
@The_Pixel_King yah same here! I'm pouring all my free time to both games but I found myself playing GT7 religiously at the end.
I spent almost 2 hours redoing that one mission with the GT 1500T on Spa in the rain and on Racing soft tyres, only to find out that it's bugged.
Server maintenance is taking a little longer though. Haven't been able to connect all morning and there's a statement on their site saying it's gonna take a little while longer.
Good to see them knocking out regular and quick patches. Hope to see them improve performance on Trial Mountain - I’ve seen the frame rate take a hit on this track when driving a fast car.
They've nerfed the race payouts! Scum!
Servers still down. They have been down all morning. 🤨🤨
Where's this one?
@XinGViruS I was having the same issue - I’m not a great driver by any means, but getting a daily workout’s worth of miles from retrying one of the later rally tests seems a bit much.
@lolwhatno Tires lol....so is it just that use of the word where it's spelled tyres? Or if you are feeling sleepy are you tyred as well? You all might be on to something if you have different spellings for words with multiple definitions.
@Jayslow I will never tire of staring at a tyre 😜
@Jayslow if you're sleepy, you're tired, even in the UK.
Another night of not being able to play GT7 due to this maintenance 🙄
Anyways...Can anyone tell me, is there a way to return a car's settings back to their defaults? I did all lot of tuning to cars to get them under regulations, including modifying front & rear ride heights and downforce, but now I'd like to them to return to defaults. Is there not a way to do so???
@eagletrippin I think its a case of creating a new setting sheet. I maybe wrong though
@ApostateMage I actually won a car in one of those last night. Hopefully they fixed the bug today 😄
@Jayslow "Although there are many theories, the word tyre or tire appears to come from the word attire, in the sense that the wheel had been dressed in something to protect it. From the early days of rubber pods embedded into a wooden wagon wheel, this wheel-dressing has helped grip, and reduced the shock going through both the wheel and the vehicle’s occupants when it struck something on the road. In the same way American English did away with the u in harbour and colour, it also kept things nice and simple in this instance, and so the ‘i’ sound in tire simply became that letter – whereas the British, with a language steeped in history and tradition, seemingly wanted to keep the ‘y’ in the same way ‘attyre’ may have been written by the likes of Geoffrey Chaucer and his counterparts in old English verse. In modern Britain, you’d be hard pressed to find someone giving a good reason why it’s remained ‘tyre’ rather than ‘tire’ – except “that’s how it’s always been”.
I mean you also call petrol "gas" which is just crazy!!
Am I allowed to feel proud I managed to get all my licenses before this patch? The dirt ones were damn hard but basically I did them without breaking except on one or two corners and a massive amount of retries. Glad it's made them easier, it was obvious they were a lot harder than the other levels and now I know why!
This patch better be worth the over 13hrs it's taken (so far) to try and get working...
@kyleforrester87 oh not just that. We are so against the word petrol that when British Petroleum bought Amoco 20 years ago and replaced all their stations they are only referred to as BP. I'm sure only a small percentage of us Americans even know what BP stands for.
