They might not have been included in the PlayStation Store Days of Play sale, but you can still pick up much cheaper copies of Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 if you're happy with physical versions. Over on Amazon UK, both games have dropped below £50.
The PS5 version of Horizon Forbidden West is currently going for £48.79. However, since Sony offers a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade for the title, you could simply buy the PS4 version at an even cheaper rate of £42.95 and then upgrade. That's a pretty tasty saving considering the original retail price.
Meanwhile, Gran Turismo 7 is £49.99 for the PS5 version and £49.95 for the PS4 edition. You do have to pay to upgrade the PS4 version of GT7 to the PS5 version, though, so bear that in mind when choosing which one to go for.

I’ll wait for GT7 to either get a free trial or be placed for free on the new PS Plus service. Got Horizon already, great game!
They have been below 50 for absolutely ages, from various sites and shops. This Amazon promotion is absolutely pathetic.
GT7 for £50 isn’t bad, especially as I can get £32 back from CEX when finished. Well, depending on how long that takes me.
As the game was included with my ps5 when I brought it at a eyewatering £70 I loose out on the PS4 version deal for the digital copy, it's annoying at least but I wish I was able to save money on horizon but hey at least it's a physical copy at least
@itsfoz it's not even worth playing for free let alone paying for it 😏😏
I got the PS5 version sealed for £44 back in March off eBay. There were several available from different sellers so I can only assume they were sold by people that got it as part of a console bundle and didn't want it.
Pays to shop around.
@Gloamin
I figure they get paid through affiliate links(?)
@Gloamin Got a link to where they're cheaper then?
Amazon and GAME are always the most expensive. Shop elsewhere for better deals, most of these have been this price multiple times previously

So basically they are now at the price they should have been at launch 😉
@Nightcrawler71 ehehehehehehehe
@TripleKing333 disc version of GTA 5 PS5 on that site is £25 😳
@Gloamin
Yeah, nothing wrong with it, taking money from Amazon is practically a moral imperative at this point,

I got the PS5 Uncharted collection from gamecollection this morning for under £20 using some accumulated points to knock a few quid off the price.
Are all decent and often cheapest in the UK.
I usually just type the name of any game I'm looking for into google shopping though and that works pretty well.
@TripleKing333 If we're trying to save as much money as possible, that's actually more expensive than the PS4 version in this article and then just upgrading for free.
Some people want the PS5 version on a disc. I know I did.
I will wait till they are on PS+Extra
Just do what I do - have a backlog so intimidatingly large that by the time you get on top of it the games that were popular months ago are already almost half price! Works a charm
I already have GT7, HFW I'm really not bothered with until it comes to Premium, however long that takes.
I won't be buying hardly anything in light of the new PS Premium. For however much some people here knock it (staff and readers) I think it's fine, and combined with my existing backlog and the monthly PS Essential games, I don't need to buy stuff at even these kinds of prices anymore.
Maybe one or two games a generation exceptions, but otherwise, nope.
@LiamCroft "how dare you post an article about discounts on games?!"
😆😆😆😆
Some peoples, I tells ya..
Waiting for GT to drop to the £35 mark before buying. Still not convinced at £50
@IAmAshCohen17 Yeah good idea, I'm a big GT fan right across all the generations so it was a rare day one buy for me on PS5, but soon realised it wasn't worth what I paid for it (£56) and tbh it hasn't even been loaded up recently.
£35ish sounds fair.
That does NOT sound like a deal to me. Sony is even charging 30+ bucks on year-old games. I'll just wait for them to hit plus.
@Oscarjpc you don't own any games on plus. You merely rent the digital license. They can take them at a whim. Physical that is never an issue
I went over the newly added discounts and honestly it's quite trash
eBay £40 brand new with postage.
Won't play gt7 unless it goes free 🤷♂️
@Isle_Delfino_Man THIS! I still sometimes buy games day one though, if I'm worried about being spoilered.
AKA the price they should launch at.
