Psychonauts 2 also 50% off. I might get that.
I highly recommend Death’s Door, especially at that price. I loved it so much that I even got the platinum trophy on PS5. And I’m really no trophy hunter.
@PenguinLtd Yes, and Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition is heavily discounted as well. Finally!
@PenguinLtd Boss fights are pretty tough but there's not a lot of punishment for dying.
@Voltan what's that around £20? Definitely worth it at that price, probably what it should have launched for.
Guys and gals, do not sleep on Tormented Souls. Plays just like classic Resident Evil, difficulty and all, but very scary and atmospheric!
@Kopite Wait, I got that wrong - it's 50% and not a part of that sale. That makes it £25.
@PenguinLtd it’s a fantastic game. There are some tougher parts, especially the final boss, but it was easily in my top three games last year. The game play is so good, the puzzles can be challenging, but never too challenging and the art and sound are incredible.
@Voltan I was thinking the same thing. I loved the first one years ago. Half off is about right.
I really want to try the PS5 version of DMC5, a game I loved, but I'm super scared it might go to PS Plus with the revamp
@Voltan still worth it at that price for me, I don't know why but I had it in my head that it launched at £32.99 which is steep for a digital only game but £50 is a joke.
Sale ends 22nd June. The new PS Plus begins on 22nd June with hundreds of games and loads more every month. Save your money guys.
Will chime in and agree with @The_Pixel_King here that if you've not played Death's Door then you definitely should!
@BowTiesAreCool Yeah, I'd be careful to buy a lot of these games but I doubt Psychonauts specifically will be on PS Plus anytime soon.
@Voltan @Kopite @Elodin I paid full price and don’t regret it all. Wonderful game.
@Jimmer-jammer oh I completely agree, it's a brilliant game if it had a physical copy at launch I would have paid it in an instant but for a download it was way to much imo
@PenguinLtd Play Tunic instead. It's similar, but a lot more interesting, and overall a much better game.
@PenguinLtd There’s a couple of annoying difficulty spikes but nothing too bad. It’s a great game with a lovely atmosphere. My only major gripe with it was the lack of a world map, which made for less than ideal navigation. That kind of thing’s not a problem with, say, souls games, where you can see things in the distance, but for an isometric environment with closed off spaces a map would have been appreciated.
@Kopite I see. Yeah, it’s unfortunate we’ll probably never see one on PlayStation.
Oh no. Demetrios Replastered is on sale, but the upgrade price for existing owners isn't changed. Boo! Come on Cowcat!
A rare discount on Shovel Knight,& a nice opportunity to pick up the Shantae games if you're a fan of the series.
@The_Pixel_King Agreed. Death's Door is a masterpiece. Would have been my GOTY last year but I played it late this year. Currently it's competing with Horizon and Her Story (a game from 2015) on my GOTY 2022 shortlist.
Quite a few games on my wish list on sale including F.I.S.T. a beautiful and innovative Metroidvania. A Short Hike, TOEM and Death's Gambit. Must not buy more games than I finish...
@everynowandben Always subjective but while Tunic is an absolutely brilliant game, I personally think Death's Door is a little better overall. The gameplay is far tighter and the story more memorable. Though in Tunic's favour the 'manual' is one of the most inspired game mechanics in recent years and the and puzzles in Tunic are better. Horses for courses.
To be honest people should play both, I played them a month or so apart and though they might cannibalise each other, but not at all. Two stand out games BOTH worthy of your time.
@themightyant Oh man, I loved Her Story. I played it on mobile when it originally released on iOS. They should really consider doing a Switch port to bring such a cool game to a wider audience. I mean, the same developer released Telling Lies (which I haven’t played) on console.
@The_Pixel_King I've had Her Story on my tablet forever, basically since launch, but never got round to it. I finally played it on a flight recently and it was mind blowing. Absolutely unique and amazing story telling that sticks with you. The only other game that blew my mind in similar ways and really made me feel like a detective was Return of the Obra Dinn.
I have Telling Lies too but, like you, haven't played it. I'm told it's also very good but not quite on the same level. Still looking forward to it.
DMC 5 is like 8$ for me as I own PS Plus. Damn.
@themightyant Sounds like we have very similar tastes my friend. I’ve had Return of the Obra Dinn sitting on my Switch since launch, but still haven’t started it. Sounds like it’s about time to put that right. I loved Papers, Please, which was also from Lucas Pope, so I had to pick up Obra Dinn.
I have a 12 hour flight booked for next month (and another 12 hours on the return journey a fortnight later), so that would be the perfect time to get into a bunch of indies that I have installed on my Switch.
@The_Pixel_King Enjoy Obra Dinn, another stone cold classic. Perfect for a long flight.
Any other recommendations hit me up and i'll do the same. Happy gaming pal.
Unfortunately Mistover is not on sale. It's being delisted at the end of the month. Just a couple more chances for it to go on sale. Game seems interesting, but apparently it's not that good so I'd rather pick it up on sale.
@Kopite digital is convenient and everything is digital for me so 32 isn't steep lol. Also it cuts out the middle man so if you really want to support games and studios digital is the way to go. Not giving money to brick and mortar stores straight to the source.
@Kopite you make no sense. You'd pay for a same game physically full price but not digital. It's literally the SAME GAME. Makes no sense at all but i don't understand gamers like you. I hate ppl lol. Point is idc what edition you want disc or digital but to say you won't get it at thus price but literally say you would get it at the same price same game another way. That's stupid plain and simple
@SerJosh97 the reason I'll pay for a physical copy over a digital copy is because I'd rather have something that can't be taken away, I've bought digital games that I can't download anymore because they've been delisted and I didn't have them on my console. The way people buy games shouldn't bother you that much.
Battlefield 2042 looks tempting... Not really lol , tormented souls is great though if you like classic resident evil & silent hill
@SerJosh97 unless you're buying a Sony game, the middleman is still there. Either Sony takes 30% or Walmart/wherever takes 30%. Game dev gets roughly the same for digital vs physical sales. Probably best to give that cut to Sony though.
Playstation plus double discount sales are such scam. It's always the same discounts you got 2 weeks ago except it's two times more expensive for non ps+ users
@Kopite "I've bought digital games that I can't download anymore because they've been delisted and I didn't have them on my console" like what games?
@saffeqwe these were bought across PS3/PS4 - amoung others - and have disappeared from my download history GTA Vice City, TMNT turtles in time, Poker Night 2 (not checked that recently but I know it was on PSNow so it may be back), Marvel Vs Capcom Origins, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. Even my PS1 classic versions of Crash aren't on there now.
@Kopite looks like you're searching for your games in a wrong place
@saffeqwe games library on PS4 and download list on PS3
@Kopite yeah but looks like you're doing something wrong. Delisted games don't disappear from your library. There were only a few exceptions to it. The only one I can remember is PT but it wasn't even a game
@saffeqwe how can I be doing something wrong if I'm looking where my games are? Or aren't in the case of some of them
@Kopite I really don't know what you're doing wrong but crash is not even delisted
Gran turismo 7 needs to drop it price asap...it's a gtsport remake ripoff
@AFCC just get it...u cant regret something u love
@KishanHansil I did it
