Hollow Knight is one of the most beloved indie games of the last few years, with its tight gameplay, enormous world, and impressive bosses. The follow-up, Hollow Knight: Silksong, was announced all the way back in 2019, so it's been a very long time coming for fans of Insect Souls. Now, PlayStation itself has confirmed the game is in fact coming to both PS5 and PS4:
Unfortunately, that's all we're getting this time. The last we saw of Silksong was a few months ago during Xbox's summer showcase — we've embedded the trailer above — and it's looking like a great new entry in Team Cherry's series.

Bizarre that it has only now been announced for both PS systems. I had it down as a Switch timed exclusive
Well that’s nice, I thought it would just be on Xbox and Switch.

@BusyOlf That's what we all thought until the Game Pass announcement. The first game was ported, very successfully, to console by Jump Shark Studios so I assume they will be taking charge again, leaving Team Cherry just to make the game.
Hollow Knight is my favorite game ever, so yeah, pretty hyped. I won't get it on PS4/PS5 but happy for all those who can.
I was a Kickstarter backer, so I'll get a code for Silksong for free. I'll use that to play it on Steamdeck but I'll also get it physical on Switch.
So amped for this. My most anticipated game by far

Not sure I'll be grabbing. The original was a solid game, but none of the footage I've seen to date makes me feel like I need to play it. Would probably be just as happy replaying the original game down the line.
