Samurai Maiden continues to look like a fun hack-and-slash action RPG, going by its latest trailer, which tries to see the comical side of this alternate history adventure. The eight-minute video gives an overview of what the game's all about by poking fun at its own absurdity, featuring quotes like "every samurai was said to be a beautiful and well-proportioned young lady" and "warlords were actually super cute".
Samurai Maiden's cutesy characters and, er, bonding events obviously won't be to everyone's taste, but the gameplay itself looks solid. The title's set to release on the 8th December for both PS5 and PS4.

So this, callisto protocol, midnight sun's and dragon quest treasures within the same 7 days š©, Decembers going to murder on my wallet.
@UltimateOtaku91 then set aside Ā£50 each month now.
@UltimateOtaku91 or buy them a little later.
The game looks amazing! I'm always down for a historically accurate adventure through feudal Japan.
@riceNpea with diofield, valkyrie elysium, star ocean, God of war, mario and rabbids, pokemon scarlet, Harvestella, a plague tale requiem, Gotham Knights and bayonetta 3 releasing before then, that's going to be a challenge lol can't remember the last time there was this many day one games I'd want in the space of three months
@naruball maybe buy them then rent them out to young couples, first time buyers, and students on short term leases, then increase your portfolio to include all January releases too with the profits.
That trailer š
It still looks like a lot of fun, but I'll probably skip it because there are just too many games coming out that I want to play. I do love how silly it is though.
@UltimateOtaku91 I do. The day I bought my PS2 at launch.
And I predict PSVR2's launch will be the next one.
Will be a fun deep sale purchase. I like the style, but Graphics look dated a bit. Also the enemies appear to just stand around simular to Dynasty Warrior games. That being said It looks fun enough for a cheap purchase
@riceNpea haha. I like the way you think
Is this for Xbox too?
Is this getting a physical release or is it just digital?
Wow, the historical accuracy in this game is on a whole different level. To think Ubisoft prides itself with historical accuracy in Assassin's Creed... what a joke!
This game looks amazing all around. Excited to see more of it.
Since Marvelous won't be giving us a new Senran Kagura any time soon, I'll be picking this up day one.
@Shadcai From what I've heard, only Japan will get a physical release. Maybe someone like Red Art Games will publish it in the west later down the line, like they are doing now with Demon Gaze Extra, and previously Relayer.
Iām definitely getting it. Even if it will be censored. Iād rather get a censored 60 FPS and/or 4K experience than playing this with muddy textures at 25 FPS on Switch.
This looks like it could be great fun and that trailer was great and hilarious although a little strange. I'll get this for sure.
@UltimateOtaku91 Seriously we gamers are being spoiled rotten lol.
I won't be able to make time for them all, some games will have to be skipped and bought on sale in a few years.
@KidBoruto I agree, for someone like me who loves JRPG's, this year has been pretty solid and still more to come.
Even next year in January we have one piece odyssey, Forspoken and fire emblem engage. My backlog is never going to looked at.
@UltimateOtaku91 My backlog keeps growing every year, will never stop haha...
