PlayStation Stars, Sony's new rewards program which just launched in Asia and has already begun to ruffle some feathers, appears to have an exclusive invite-only tier of service, according to information datamined from the PS App.
This fifth tier, which is supposedly called Diamond, is referenced in images and animations hosted on the PlayStation website, along with a description that reads: “In an endless sea of stars, it seems like there’s nowhere to hide. But you wouldn’t be here if you let challenges like that stop you. Welcome to Level 5.”
Pretty poetic, isn't it? While the assets themselves are real enough, whether they get implemented or not remains to be seen. As for the benefits, your guess is as good as ours, ditto for the entry requirements, but we have to imagine it will include having unlocked the platinum trophy in both Knack and Knack 2.
Could this be something introduced when PlayStation Stars goes live in the rest of the world? The service rolls out in North America on 5th October and in Europe on 13th October, so we won't have too much longer to wait to find out. Do you think you will make the cut and be invited to join the chosen few in the Diamond tier? The VIP section awaits in the comments section below.

If this is for real I'm gonna do it LOL. Knack 2 the platinum!
I was looking for a chance to replay knacks. Always down for knacking
Probably for Influencer
"“In an endless sea of stars, it seems like there’s nowhere to hide"
Doesn't even make sense. Hide behind one of the stars. There's an endless sea of them!
@Bamila I don't own Knack but my Irish mate does so I'm going to steal it. Trouble is he and his dog guard it so I'll have to nick Knack, Paddy whack, give a dog a bone...
Would be nice if it was for devs. Giving back to the community that actually makes games... but let's be honest, probably not. @IonMagi is likely right.
I'm sure it's only for the elusive bunch that have tapped a jar of mayo a few times and petted a dog/cat/ferret for a significant amount of strokes.
@IonMagi "we know you guys don't have real jobs so we created this pity level just for you"
The struggles I went on to randomly get diamonds in Knack to unlock Diamond Knack… I done it in the week before the PS5 launch, thought it was fitting to have a PS4 launch platinum at the end of its cycle.
However without the Knack app functionality, I have to playthrough the game countless times for it to generate those ultra rare diamonds!
I think giving me diamond tier for this dedication would only seem fitting.
Can’t wait to experience this elitist level of customer service haha
@riceNpea There isn’t a groan button so I gave you a like instead.
Ah yes knack. My favourite game 😄
Why not just keep it simple earn points get rewarded & that's it 🙄
@IonMagi that would really boil my p*** if they did that
Desperate and incompetent PlayStation devs are still pushing Knack 2 down our throats every chance they get. Why won't they just let the game die? For as much money as they've shoved at the Knack franchise we could have 3 new original IPs!
Random guess, but is it possible this might be a journalist tier? Like, they're given early access to certain features to review, for example? Although if it has anything to do with completing challenges, that's 100% going to be Jirard the completionist, or Caddicarus for being a madman and getting platinum relics on ALL of the Crash games.
@NateGoesLive @Bamila @TechaNinja I never did platinum Knack 1 or start playing my copy of Knack 2, guess it's time for me to finally do that!
@KidBoruto knack 2 is really good actually. Much better story wise and gameplay wise than the first one.
@Bamila Awesome to hear, will have to check it out one day
