PS Studios Malaysia, the first-party support studio located in Kuala-Lumpur, has achieved its next major milestone: a gorgeous, futuristic workspace for its team to collaborate in. Photographs of the office were shared by studio head Hasnul Hadi on Twitter, which reveal a spaceship-like sliding glass door entrance, marked with PlayStation’s iconic symbols on the wall.
Behind the reception desk is a giant, illuminated PS Studios logo, as well as a large television and sofa. Then on the inside is a kitchen, overlooking the city, which has been dressed with foliage – as well as a variety of booths and desks, flanked by small conference rooms. It’s the second new office Sony’s opened this year, as its Liverpool department also recently relocated to an innovative new space in city.
While it doesn’t appear PS Studios Malaysia will be making any of its own games, it’s become an important cog in the platform holder’s first-party output, providing cutting-edge art and animation for many of the firm’s biggest games. With this new workspace, expect its role and creative input to increase, as it seeks to aid the production of PlayStation’s most noteworthy exclusive games.

Good to know Sony is treating well their Remaster-making developers across the globe.
This looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Kinda cool.
Oh my god thats so cool what??????
So what do these guys do?
@UltimateOtaku91 They're a support studio. They help with art and animation (and probably other things).
Looks awesome ^__^
So this is where the PS5 price increases going and $70 remaster revenue is going,... good to know.
Not the wisest PR move to be raising prices on customers in the middle of a recession as well as being extremely anti-consumer in communication and practices and then go on in flaunt what you're spending your money on: an over indulgent workspace.
Jesus Sony. Fire everyone in management. Do it now. Fire yourself. Hire actual gamers, hire children, hell hire alpacas! Anyone would do better with the hype and potential you started this generation with.
Very nice. Giz a job?!
@KundaliniRising333 A boss that treats their workers great what a horrible thing indeed. For me it shows that im at the wrong boss at the moment it does not anger me one second.
Its a recession so does that means that everyone should be misserable? Im annoyed how many people complain about this. My boss gave me a payraise a big one in percentages but if you salary sucks its still a crappy salary.
As a cherry on top on top of the pie they said you will never get collective labour agreement and never ask for it again. So im happy when i see that others have it better then me and shows me i should keep looking.
@Flaming_Kaiser
Absolutely agree. The number of stories we hear of mistreated Devs and poor working practices, why on earth shouldn't Sony look after their staff with a comfortable, enjoyable collaborative space to work their magic? Especially if it means better games as a result.
Not sure if @KundaliniRising333 has any awareness of company or people management, but I sincerely hope not with that naive attitude.
Looks like a great workspace for creatives to be in, good for them. I got kicked out of my office at the start of the pandemic. This year had the choice of shared desk in a grim office or WFH. Chose WFH.
Had the office looked like this one, might have chosen differently!
Who are they? Also what PS4 Remake are they working on
I Think If Sony Ever Buys Ember Labs They Would Work Great With This Studio.
They’re definitely practicing cloning or some high tech sci-if thing. Video games are a cover up. A great cover up if I may add
@Gooseman42 it usually doesnt mean better game results though . is this what weve come to with gaming ? being more interested and satisfied about the industry businesses instead of the games , and being political instead of gamers ? damn .
@nomither6 Wow, way to misread a comment. I was referring to the welfare of the workforce, not good business practice, though one can certainly aid the other. There’s no mystery or political aspect to know that keeping your staff happy is good for their well-being and can help productivity. Without these talented people who make our games there are no gamers, like you & me right?
If you want to attract talent you need to make everything enticing, this includes the workplace. It's all part of an attractive and competitive compensation package. Also, this looks fairly standard for workspaces in the field of creative design.
@KundaliniRising333 Hire actual gamers to run a multi-billion dollar company?
I’d give it a week tops before they declare bankruptcy.
Some people on this site are just insufferable. You'd think Sony killed their parents with how people are acting over a remaster/remake that we don't even know anything about yet.
I can disagree with near-same-gen remasters, 70 buck games, price hikes and still celebrate treating employees superbly. Why do people have to insist that the employees of the companies that make their products work in soulless venues like the FBC from Control?
Congrats to them all, well deserved!
