One of the perks of PS Plus Premium – there are vanishingly few, after all – is the ability to cloud stream PS4 and PS3 on either a PC or console. However, when the revamped service launched, the platform holder warned that the functionality to stream to a PC would not be available in select countries, like Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. This, it promised, would be rectified.
Well, that was back in May and we’re now mid-way through November – and guess what, nothing’s changed! In fact, the manufacturer is actually advertising PC-based cloud streaming for PS Plus Premium on its website in countries like Poland, despite it not actually being available! It goes without saying, none of this is good enough really, and we think the manufacturer needs to go back to the drawing board and have a long, hard think about what it wants PS Plus Premium to actually be.
The most frustrating thing is, the firm shouldn’t be in this position with its most expensive subscription tier – it had months to revamp the service, and admittedly it’s done a solid job with PS Plus Extra, but already it’s beginning to look like PS Plus Premium needs a complete reset. That’s a massive failure!

PS Plus Premium lots of things MIA everywhere.
Frankly, It's an embarrassment. Reminds me a bit of the PS3 cross game chat debacle. The fan base is screaming and Sony pretends it's not happening.
The only streaming I’d be interested in is to my phone using data. That’s the only user case I can see adding value.
Well, they promised they would expand PS Premium to more territories "in the coming months",& haven't either!
Or significantly add to the psp,ps1 or PS2 Classics offered...if you're in a PS Deluxe region, the blog ignores you even exist!😑
Then there was the promise to offer NTSC or PAL Classic game download choice!....whilst our broadband internet is notoriously sub par down under, apparently XB Cloud streaming is working alright....it just seems like sadly PS Management's heart clearly isn't in supporting the Premium & especially Deluxe regions with Classic content.
Maybe one day someone could point out to Jim Ryan that the giant potential library of classics is precisely the kind of selling point to gain more top tier subs, rather than losing them!
And those ps3 server blades they're relying on won't last forever either!
Alliterative headline
@get2sammyb Thanks for bringing this to a wider attention. It bugs me that you technically pay and a part of the service is not available. Moreover, Xbox Cloud has the same issue in a lot of European countries, even we also pay for the cloud feature.
It’s really mind boggling it’s not on macOS either. All other streaming platforms are on it, and Remote Play is, but not Premium-streaming. And gaikai, the platform that PS Now was built on, was running on macs. Just doesn’t make any sense.
Welcome to the year 2022 Sony... how about some mobile apps and browser support!
@jrt87 Would love to but a lot of people stacked up before the "revamp"including myself, I cant ditch premium until 2024.
Where did Sony say that in those regions streaming would come later?
PS Remote play is the worst streaming service I have used.
Parsec / Moonlight/ Chiaki /GeForce now are ALL miles ahead when it comes to Encode / Decode MS and Network Latency.
There is even a guide on how to get your PS4/PS5 running on Parsec if you plan to have a much better experience locally on any of your devices on your local network.
Playstation need to SERIOUSLY invest more into R&D or straight up hire these small devs who do a far better job than they do.
The only one I haven't tried is the Xbox streaming service. Would love to know how that stacks up against other services.
Forgot to mention PS Remote play on PC only supports up to 720p.
Figure that one out in 2022. Seriously embarrassing.
