The latest game update for Gran Turismo 7 is available to download now on PS5 and PS4. Taking the game to version 1.27, the main feature of this 1.3GB patch has already been revealed. It's adding five new cars to the game, including the rather spiffy Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo.
However, there's a little more to the update than just the new vehicles. There are two new post-game Extra Menus to complete, asking players to collect BMWs and Bugattis. There aren't any new circuits in this update, but there are a handful of new events to play on existing ones, which is nice. Additionally, Scapes now features Norway as a new Curation. Beyond that are a few more bug fixes to tighten things up that little bit more.
Here are the full patch notes:
1. Cars
- The following five new cars have been added:
・ Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm '20
・ Bugatti Chiron '16
・ Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray '20
・ Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo
・Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) '95 (Purchasable at 'Legend Cars' from 15 December)
The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo will be purchasable at 'Brand Central' from 23 December. Players who correctly answered the Day 4 question of the World Finals 'Viewers Gift' campaign will gain early access from 15 December.
2. Café
- The following two Extra Menus have been added:
・Extra Menu No. 14: 'Collection: Straight-Six BMWs' (Collector Level 37 and above);
・Extra Menu No. 15: 'Collection: Bugatti' (Collector Level 43 and above);
The new Menu Books and Extra Menus will appear after clearing Menu Book No. 39 ('Championship: World GT Series') and having watched the ending.
3. World Circuits
- The following new events have been added to 'World Circuits':
・Nürburgring
- European Clubman Cup 600
・Mount Panorama Racing Circuit
- American Clubman Cup 700
・Monza Circuit
- Hypercar Parade
4. Scapes
- The 'Norway' location has been added as featured Curations in Scapes.
Other Improvements and Adjustments
1. Multiplayer
- Fixed an issue wherein 'Quitting the race might affect your ratings.' would be incorrectly displayed when leaving a Lobby;
- Fixed an issue wherein repeatedly racing without leaving the room in Lobby would cause the game's performance to drop.
2. Steering Controllers
- Fixed an issue wherein fitting the BMW M2 Competition '18 with a 'Fully Customisable Manual Transmission' would cause the clutch pedal on steering controllers to stop responding.
3. Sound
- Fixed an issue wherein the sound of the player's own engine would not play correctly.
4. Others
- Various other issues have been addressed.

Fantastic game!
Still waiting form them to let you sell your cars.
I love this game but I'm still disapointed that, looks aside, GT6 is still the best one in the franchise.
@LordOfTurnips you can sell cars now
@LordOfTurnips - The last update let's you do that now. Although you cant sell multiples of the same model, i.e. if you have say 5 Go-Karts, it only allows you to sell one.
Believe it's locked behind finishing Menu 39, as it didn't appear for my cousin, until he finished on specific menu, which I believe is the aforementioned 39.
My GOTY and most played game in 2022 and a good contender to be the same in 2023.
@dellyrascal thats waaaay too convoluted to be a reasonable solution.
If what you said is correct, keep in mind that 39 Menu's means aquiring around 137 cars before you can sell a vehicle.
I dont think the issue is actual credits in the game, its well balanced and I beat the game without ever needing to use actual real world money. But it makes it so there is a much bigger grind in order to get the more expensive cars.
Either way, its an amazing game, probably my favorite game this year aside Elden Ring, I just questions some decisions around it.
2022 GOTY runner-up for me.
Got into sport mode for the first time to get the 50 race trophy and it wasn't bad I gotta say. I dont know for how long they will add free cars, but up until now it has been great
@LordOfTurnips oh I wholeheartedly agree with your points.. was more just stating it was possible now to sell 👍
I've really enjoyed it and still love dipping in between other titles to race a few online etc..
Just a shame about some of the game mechanics they've thrusted into the title, which arguably wasn't needed
Yes enjoying it immensely. Sound issue should have been solved since I was having this problem and I had to quit the race and restart again to hear the engine noise
@Dloki don’t see why you felt the need to comment that but I’ll bite. No, It’s not iracing sim levels, but it’s certainly more sim than arcade. I’d call that a sim
They have the online spot on for me, only thing I play these days, with a few beers and my fanatec wheel 👌
@dellyrascal Do you know why they only allow you to sell one? That's weird.
@ILikeStake it's one per day of the same model
@MatthewJP @ILikeStake - I will have to check then as have several duplicates of cars... Thanks Matthew for correcting that..👍
@MatthewJP Oh awesome, thatll work thanks for clearing it up. I need to get back to racing but I'm injured so haven't been able to use my wheel setup. Almost healed though I think and then it is on again! It's going to be like a new game with all the updates since then.
