Metal Gear Rumours

These Metal Gear revival rumours just refuse to go away. We've been writing about this supposed return for well over a year at this point, and so far, Konami's said absolutely nothing on the matter.

However, with the company forcing itself back into the spotlight with all of the recent Silent Hill news, it seems as though the Metal Gear gossip has well and truly returned. As is usually the case, most of the renewed speculation is coming from industry 'insiders', some of whom are now adamant that an announcement is coming soon.

We've heard it all before, but then you've got stuff like Raiden's voice actor tweeting "stay tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks", when replying to fans who were discussing a new Metal Gear Rising. Let's face it, that would be a weird thing to tweet if nothing was happening.

We could see Konami remastering Rising, for example, in celebration of the game's 10th anniversary (which is coming up next month). But do the publisher's plans expand beyond this? Again, 'insiders' would have you believe it, but as always, we'll have to wait and see.
