The charming indie title Tchia is coming to PS5 and PS4 in Spring, and the more we see of it, the more we look forward to this serene adventure game. Like other games developed in a post-Breath of the Wild world, physics-based locomotion and stamina-restricted climbing are at the core of exploration in Tchia.
Use palm trees to slingshot yourself into the air and your glider to gently come back down... or miscalculate and find yourself crashing back to earth. Interestingly, players will not be able to add waypoints to the map; instead, you must learn the local geography for yourself and engage closely with your surroundings.
In addition to regular jumping, Tchia is capable of soul-jumping, which will allow her to inhabit the form of animals and objects in the game world. It all looks like some wild fun, and we can't wait to see some of the inevitable compilation clips post-launch that catalogue all of the physics shenanigans that go on.
What do you think of Tchia so far and of its interesting blend of traversal mechanics? Sail on down to the comments section below.

This looks awesome but NGL no map marker is really going to annoy many people, especially if there’s a lot of collectibles in the game.
Ive been looking forward to this one for a long time now, soul jumping looks fun!
Glad its not too far away, though I notice there is no preorder?
Looks like a lot of charm and fun.
Heard good things about this
@Titntin It's a digital only indie game, so we probably won't be able to pre-order.
..and there's me hoping its a PSN essential freebie
@Titntin with Sony... NEVER!
@SamMR
Well, that's not strictly true is it?
'Stray' was such a title..😁
@Titntin I’m hoping for the same thing. I loved that they did that with Stray and I hope that’s not a one-off. It sells these new PS+ tiers to have highly polished, high profile indies come to the service new every once in a while. They don’t need to pull a Gamepass and dump tons of indies on the service, but PS+ can differentiate itself by being specific on their indie releases, you know?
For me, I see this one and I’m not sure about if I’d buy it with the release schedule being what it is (unless it reviews wildly positive), but I would definitely play it with my son regardless of reviews if they did that. Honestly looks like the type of game I wish devs would make for kids.
On my radar, looking forward to it
@Titntin Stray was an exception, it released the same time Sony's new subscription plans were about to launch. It was just a marketing scheme to hook people into subbing, and it was on Extra not Essential.
But lets keep hoping they add games like this little gem day one.
@GorosBat This really doesn't look like the type of game that'll have you collecting 500,000 golden nuts and doing all 6000 shooting range challenges, so I wouldn't worry about that.
Would love to see this announced as a ps plus game like stray at launch.
Wow this looks excellent, a very pleasant surprise. Though I'm still not quite sure what the objective or gameplay loop is?

As I suggested, its a day 1 game. I may not have been a dev for a while now, but I do still hear whispers (though most are wrong these days).
@Titntin You must be psychic, that was a spot-on prediction XD
