Sony has today revealed a new PS Plus Festival of Play promotion that encompasses a range of activities that includes prizes, PS Store deals, tournaments, and the newly announced PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium game lineup for the month of February 2023. It all kicks off today and runs until 24th February 2023.
Most of the activities have actually been already announced, including this morning's PS Store sale and then a PS Plus Premium trial for God of War Ragnarok. New information focuses on a host of PS Stars collectibles featured around the promotion and playing Horizon Forbidden West, and also a competition to win a Sony Bravia XR OLED TV and some accessories. To be in with a chance of winning, you must answer three questions related to PS Plus on the website.
Finally, there's going to be an online multiplayer weekend starting this Friday where you don't need a PS Plus subscription to compete against others online, and then there's the usual PlayStation Tournaments for FIFA 23, NBA 2K23, and Guilty Gear.
To be honest, this is just a bit of branding that brings Sony's usual gaming initiatives under one roof for roughly 10 days, but still, you could win a TV! Will you be tuning for those PS Stars collectibles? Let us know in the comments below.

Wait. So I’m not going to have a chance at Stars rewards because I’m currently playing a different game (Hogwarts)?
This is why I hate all time sensitive gaming events, both in and out of games.
Also, a bit bad that people can’t get the prize if they’ve already bought the game but don’t have plus. And also that you can’t get the prize if you already have the trophies. I haven’t bought it, but a bit of a slap in the face to those who did.
@thefourfoldroot1 - You really aren't missing much on the Stars rewards.
I'm trying to figure out what this Free Upgrade PS Plus button is all about.
Amazing how you can’t get the Horizon collectible unless you get the trophies starting today. This whole program is honestly garbage. The campaign that’s out right now doesn’t even pop when you start a game. Sony needs to get it together because it just feels like they have one person in a broom closet working on this thing. Whoever signed off on starting this program last year when it clearly still isn’t ready is a donut.
I couldn't even tell you what digital "collectibles" I already have, I've never once looked at them and likely never will
This all seems like a whole lot of work with very little reward.
I enjoy the Stars program mainly for the points. We atleast get rewarded with free points on campaigns and get points back on the money we spend. The dioramas we earn are just a bonus to me some are cool some are forgettable. All the people complaining about it I just don't understand.
Stars program is silly, but perhaps a few people here or there really care about it. Cashing in points for PSN credit is worth a few minutes of my time.
But making rewards available for earning a trophy during a particular time period is annoying for those who already own the trophy. If I've already got the platinum, I just can't get that reward. Boo.
Then again, I don't really care about the silly display case, so I'm annoyed at myself for being annoyed. How annoying is that?!?!
@ste_the_legend
I know, not while they are just 2d images anyway. Sometimes I get coins though (already claimed £5 worth).
The biggest impact PS Stars has had is making Nintendo’s loyalty system no longer the worst out there.
I really don't understand why anyone would care about this at all. Such a waste of time, resources, etc...
@TicklefistCP aye. It’s intriguing. Just takes me to the usual upgrade page, showing the typical fees for Premium & Extra, based on your Essential remaining days. Sony needs to fix that button pronto, if it’s there in error.
UPDATE: and now the button has changed to just ‘upgrade’. Bah, lol
Is there a chance to participate in Guilty Gear tornament online?
I didn't get this last line.
Please let me know.
How many games are in the middle tier of psplus? Is it over 500?
WTH if I already have the trophies for the Horizon Collectible Art, I won't get it?
@Greifchen correct.
What's the answer to the 3rd question about PSN Extra tier games? Sources say it's 400ish, other say it's over 700 ... :/
