Hunt the Night is an excellent-looking action RPG which puts us in mind of old-school Zelda, Hyper Light Drifter, and The Witcher, of all things (although that might just be the light hair, ponytail, and monster slaying aspect).
In a trailer showing off dungeon and overworld gameplay, we see protagonist Vesper exploring the wilds, solving puzzles and dispatching foes with a veritable arsenal of weaponry. The action looks smooth and responsive, and the pixel art is just gorgeous.
While we don't yet have a console release date, Hunt the Night is out on PC on 13th April, coming to PlayStation shortly after. Hey, it's not Breath of the Wild, but it could do in a pinch. Take that with you to the comments section below, and remember, it's dangerous to go alone.

Actually looks interesting but I'll still be buying Tears of the Kingdom.
Hyper Light Drifter X Bloodborne
Looks good, I’ll be intetesting in checking this one out!
@Uncharted2007 I'd buy it too if it didn't look and run like a PS3 game, but hey, It's a Zelda game and nobody will say a bad thing about it.
Looks good, I'm interested 😃
more like earthbound
Worthy checking out!
@Sil_Am Zelda games are generally fun with the exception of a few such as Skyward Sword. Anyone that's bought a Nintendo since 2006 knows that they aren't getting hardware that's capable of being competitive during its lifespan. I think Switch is at least a full generation behind graphics wise, maybe even more. Everyone knows this. I bought my Switch as a family system for the kids and to play Zelda. That's basically it. Everything purchased for the system in my house is appropriate for young kids. Everything else can be purchased on my PS4/5.
@Uncharted2007 I think everyone is aware that Nintendo makes the most fun games out there and Zelda is the peak, but this game deserves much much better hardware.
I imagine in 10-20 years some sort of merger between Sony and Nintendo or MS and Nintendo will occur and we'll be able to enjoy these their games in High Fidelity.
And the Switch is 2 gens back, not 1.
This game looks sluggish and dreary. I think a zelda-like in this era needs to have a lot of personality and some sort of unique gameplay mechanic to stand out at all. There's so many.
