A free new Gran Turismo 7 update is rolling out on PS5 and PS4 now, including four new cars and a smattering of single player content. As always, the additions will be available to everyone at no extra cost, although you will need enough in-game currency to purchase the vehicles. The lineup is as follows: Jaguar XJ220 ’92, Mercedes-AMG GT3 ’20, Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Toyota ’23, and Dallara SF23 Super Formula / Honda ’23.
As is typically the case, though, the update includes a sprinkling of additional content, including a new Super Formula race under the World Circuits header, and two fresh GT Café Menus to fill. There are also a bunch of new Scapes inspired by North Yorkshire and Miyazaki, providing some stunning Photo Mode backdrops for you to explore. It’s another good update for a game that keeps on giving, then – what will you be checking out first?

Always good to get more stuff. I do wish they added more menus though. As great as it is on psvr2 there still isn't lots of incentive to play as I did all that's available and got the platinum when it first came out.
I appreciate the updates for sure. Would love more tracks, even if it was remastered tracks from previous games actually, and I'd love more music too. It's good post release support, but we all know they could do a whole lot more...
Can't wait to get back to this at some point, should have a lot of new stuff to check out when I do
Old gits like me were never going to pay real money for in-game cars.
Every month I pray for Monaco...
This is certainly welcome! I kind of hit a stopping point with the menus, I got to the first extra menus and got to the one you have to buy one of the GT concept cars for $1,000,000. I do have the credits but if I do it I lose nearly all my money for other upgrades, so I'm not keen on doing it, but it halted my menu progress right there. Either it's designed to get you to buy currency or I missed some in-game money maker somewhere along the way, because grinding another million from regular races sounds like quite a slog.
@NEStalgia there are races which give you 825k credits for winning and clean race. Takes around 25mins to complete. Easy 1,6million in an hour
@NEStalgia have you done all the circuit experiences? The bi-weekly time trials in sport mode are also an easy way to obtain 1-2 million every couple of weeks.
And as above, the sardegna race nets you some decent easy credits for little time
@MatthewJP @ORO_ERICIUS Oh! That's good I'll have to go that! Every race I try I just get like 20-40k;
More newer gr.3 cars please
@NEStalgia tokio 600pp 12 laps. Le mans 700pp 30min race and sardegna 800pp. Even the 1hour spa which gives 1.5million is a great race with day night and rain in between.
What a shocker people still feel the need to complain
@ORO_ERICIUS, the Spa 1 hour race is my favorite credit grind event, 1.5 mil credits in 1 hour. Sardegna is also good, but more borring.
Just need to be careful to not overtake during yellow flag, the only way to lose the bonus.
@Sil_Am @ORO_ERICIUS I'll definitely try those, because there's still a ton of stuff left to do in the game, and I just need a ton more money to do it!
I have to assume I won't get the bonus though. I'm not sure what I keep missing that costs me the bonuses but I tend to miss out on them a lot, and for long races like that, I'm sure I'll trip up on something along the way.
@NEStalgia no one should be buying credits with how easy it is to make money. Look up some credit farming races. You could make 2 million an hour easily at one point. It can't be that much less now
@NEStalgia in tokio you have to avoid touching other cars but in the other races you will get the clean race bonus no matter what. Have fun
@NEStalgia You can't lose the bonus on Spa and Sardegna, unless you overtake during yellow flag. Other penalties won't affect it.
I recommend using a Group 2 car, the old Super GT cars, not the new ones, or the Audi DTM.
Great, how much bigger is the file size of the game now🤨
@ORO_ERICIUS @Sil_Am Oh very cool! Thanks everyone!
I really hope it offers a solid single player experience in the future, I'd buy it again for sure. I loved pretty much everything about the game, but sold it because of the limited single player content.
God I hope it's Hidetaka Miyazaki...
@nintendo4sonic, about 127GB before this update. I was going to move or delete it before Jedi Survivor came out but I caved and got a 2TB internal drive
Gotta love polyphony’s support for their games.
A Super Formula race?! In VR. Hell yeah.
Come on Kaz, say it with me. Ford GT90. Ford GT90!!!
Bung sega 20 quid and recreate the courses from sega rally. Now that would be an update.
@ORO_ERICIUS @Sil_Am I tried the Sardegna and Spa tracks, I didn't have any of the cars you mentioned in my garage so I just tried with my 700-800 PP cars available....I got to lap 3 or 7 minutes in or so and suddenly couldn't get out of 3rd gear. I thought the game was bugged at first, until I noticed I was on empty. Then I noticed the 6x/8x fuel consumption setting on the track! I don't think I've ran into that before! It was kind of funny trying to power through at low gear not knowing why I'm going like 60mph while everyone else is going 300!
Do those other cars have magic fuel economy or is there something I'm not doing I should be doing to not run out of fuel on lap 3 of a 15 lap race?
@NEStalgia The group 2 Super GT cars last longer, 7-8 laps. The best on fuel is the Mazda 787B Gr1, (10 laps) but you have to undertune it hard to be under 800 pp, and put balast. GR3 cars will last just 4 to 5 laps. That is on fuel map 1.
@Sil_Am so on 15 lap races all the cars go slow the last half of the race? I wonder why gt didn't add pit stops. That's the one thing it's missing!
@NEStalgia You have to pit. No car can go 15 laps on fuel map 1. Maybe on fuel map 6.
@Sil_Am I AM missing something major about GT then. This is my 4th GT game and I didn't even know you COULD pit in GT at all! LOL I see the pit access on, say Daytona, I've gone through it, but nothing happens. On Sardegna I haven't even found the pits.
OMG I think you just transformed 20 years of GT history for me I don't how how to pit though!
To be fair, I've never been a huge racing fan, I enjoy the games but have never been super invested in them until VR transformed it into a......daily driver....(ba dum tss)
