Disney Dreamlight Valley’s newest Star Path is its most ambitious yet, as starting tomorrow you’ll be able to add some theme park attractions to your expanding magical land. Star Paths, for those who don’t know, work a lot like Battle Passes: as you complete tasks, you’ll earn currency which can be spent on free and premium rewards, the latter of which you’ll gain access to if you stump up a small fee.
“Celebrate Disney Parks with the most ambitious and magical Star Path yet,” the official patch notes read. “Place your very own Pixar Pal-A-Round, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, or Mad Tea Party rides and transform your Valley into the happiest place on earth!” To be fair, this does sound like a lot of fun – it’s probably the most enticing Star Path the game has had since launch.
Of course, don’t worry if you don’t want to pay, as there’s a lot of free content to look forward to, too – including an entirely new Realm, themed around the Lion King films. Complete it and you’ll be able to invite Simba and Nala to take up residence in the Valley, adding another two characters for you to interact with day-to-day.
The patch notes for this update, which is due out around 9AM ET / 2PM BST, are pretty enormous: you’ll be able to craft new interactive items for your animal companions, Scrooge McDuck’s shop will be upgraded with a wealth of new stock, and you’ll even be able to glide around after eating a big meal, allowing you to get about your Valley much quicker than before.
We’ve included the full list of patch notes below, but do let us know what you’re most excited for in the comments section.

I've been paying this a lot over the last few days. It's simultaneously underwhelming and addictive. I guess that's GaaS for you. One of the underwhelming things is when you hear stuff like "an entirely new Realm," you might thing of a large region, something like a Mario Odyssey level in size and exploration potential. But they're always tiny areas - varying between roughly tennis court size to maybe vaguely pub sized - with a few brain-dead MMO-style quests to do before you never go there again.
Still, I am enjoying it. I just wish Donald would stop freaking out. Every 10 minutes he makes a train noise, falls on his face, then freaks out like he has Tourettes. Sometimes he glitches and slides across the floor like an ice hockey puck while flat on his face. Kind of unsettling, really.
@Matroska Haha, I know what you mean about the Realms but I guess that's always how it's going to be when the focus is on the Valley. But yeah, fair point!
@Matroska The realms are definitely on the dainty side. In a way, it reminds me of the first Kingdom Hearts, where a world could consist of a few smallish rooms. Of course, KH is a classic, and while Disney’s Dreamlight is not a classic, I find it pleasant enough to pop in now and then.
The realms are pretty useless really once you get the characters back to the valley. I don’t think I’ve ever returned to any of them after the missions are completed. Looking forward to the new update though.
I wish the game would stop deleting my gardens constantly lol I always dig a vegetable patch outside the house and either side of Chez Remy and the game keeps erasing them it's a pain in the ass to constantly re-dig them 😅
@Keyblade-Dan you have to plant something or the plots disappear after a day or two. I’ve got a 625 pumpkin patch (unharvested for a few weeks now) and it hasn’t disappeared.
I learned the hard way when my empty 400 plot disappeared and I had to dig all the holes again 😫
@ItsBritneyB_tch Are pumpkins the most profitable thing to grow? I've just planted a load of asparagus, I think it was.
@Matroska I believe so. You can purchase Pumpkin seeds from the stall in the Forgotten Lands for 275 gold each. A harvested Pumpkin sells for 664 gold (a profit of 389 gold per Pumpkin).
Harvesting 100 Pumpkins and selling them will earn you a profit of 38,900 gold. You can double that if you hang out with a companion with the gardening ability and make sure to harvest the bonus pumpkin spots when they appear.
I have a plot of 625 Pumpkins and I make a profit of 500k gold each time.
You can increase the amount of profit even more if you cook 3x Pumpkins and 1x Coal at a cooking station (then sell the meal) but it’s time consuming so I don’t bother doing that anymore.
I have 4.5 Million gold atm so I haven’t had to do a harvest in ages. But my plot is full of Pumpkins so the plot doesn’t disappear.
@ItsBritneyB_tch Man, when you're that rich you must've run out of things to buy a while ago. Anyway, thanks for the tips. You also get even more bonus crops the more gardener role villagers you can have - even though obviously only one can be with you at a time. About half my villagers are level 10 gardeners and it's just constant bonus crops flying all over the place.
@ItsBritneyB_tch Thank you very much for the advice and info I didn't know that I guess my bad looool 😅
This update had introduced a tonne of bugs for me
@Keyblade-Dan I have a weird texture problem on my character's legs now, like the lower calves are darker with a really straight line dividing it. It also freezes for about 3 seconds when it starts or stops raining. What bugs are you getting?
@Matroska Sometimes when I go to make a meal whatever ingredients for whatever meal I've put on have come out as crackers 😅. And I've had this weird thing happen where when I've gone to sell stuff at Goofy's stall it says error: not enough items and not let me sell the stuff. It hasn't been consistently happening all the time but when it has it's annoying lool 😅
Very nice update! Still waiting for free play version of game though.
