There are officially too many video games, folks! The N64-era inspired wrestling game AEW: Fight Forever has 29th June in a headlock, adding yet another potentially promising title to a stacked calendar. While there’s likely little crossover in terms of intended audiences, that’s just a few days after Final Fantasy 16!
The latest trailer is light on content outside of confirmation of the abovementioned launch date, but it does reiterate that developer Yuke’s wanted to create an arcade-style wrestling game consistent with the ones you likely loved in the late 90s and early 00s. Personally, we’re expecting this one to be a bit rough around the edges, but it should be fun if you’re desperate for a dose of nostalgia.

Why do devs do this. There are plenty of months with nothing in them and they go 'nah you know what? I want our game to be absolutely mullered in sales by a AAA behemoth. Thatl be best for our chances' XD
Getting the No Mercy feel down will be make or break for this game.
When can we preorder digital ? Loved Yukes wrestling games hate th 2K ones I'm sure I'm not the only one cant wait.
if its like 30$ i might check it out , but if they go full price 60-70$ for what looks like a ps2 game i'll wait till its on game pass or ps+.
I had a feeling this might happen after buying 2k23. No matter, happy with that purchase, looking forward to this one.
Has the full roster been revealed yet?
@twitchtvpat It's being reported that it will be £49.99 / $59.99.
Is the game so bad it is being released the same month as FF16, SF6 and D4? Hopefully, the game is great and NOT affecting by sales of massive franchises, but wow, who are the idiots who made this decision?
Naaah! I have the best wrasslen game, "Smackdown 2 Know Your Role", with the best wrasslers, best gameplay, best load screens and best physics. Mhhhhhmm check please.
If it's anything like Here comes the Pain then I'm there day one.
I'm suprised they didn't push it back to closer to August to coincide with the hype surrounding All In at Wembley. It would be good to know a full roster too, I think as it stands there are a lot of big names missing such as Jamie Hayter and FTR.
Think I'm one of the few who is hyped for both FF16 and this game.
I'll prioritise FF the way it's panned out, but will grab this shortly after unless it's below a 7.0.
Thanks for posting! I shared with the few friends of mine who enjoy wrestling.
