Sony will get its PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium lineup reveals correct at the first time of asking... one day. After the company announced the list of PS5, PS4, and Classic titles hitting its subscription service next week, a second change has been made. The original change, which removed Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, has been revoked as the PS4 farming game is now back on the blog post. However, the availability of Soundfall has now been scaled back.
Instead of a worldwide drop, the PS5, PS4 title will now only be part of the service in Japanese and Asian regions. An update on the PlayStation Blog post reads: "Soundfall will be available as part of the Game Catalog only in Japan and Asia regions where PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe is offered."
This means that the list of PS5, PS5, and Classic games hitting the service next week stands at 22 for most regions, but at least farming enthusiasts can look forward to Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town once more. For much more information, check out our All PS Plus Games guide.

Maybe someday someone will make a documentary on Sony's licensing paperwork. It seems more action-packed than us on the outside would ever expect it to be.
Well, not cool. That was one of the games I was looking forward to ๐
This site gave it a 5/10 so surely it wont be missed. Glad to see story of seasons back though, will give it a go seems like a laid back game.
Glad SoS is back. I might play it at some point.
Sony seems so unorganized. They really need to get their act together with consistency if they're going to make a success of this. I only subscribe to Essential and will hold off as long as possible for a full on subscription or cloud model.
And where are the consistent previous generation games? That's supposed to be a big selling point of that tier in my eyes. It's like there's hardly any effort there to pursue porting classic games. They had an entire storefront on PS3 dedicated to PSX games. They must still be digitally accessable somewhere.
I have a couple of SoS games on my wish list so am glad itโs back. I know thereโs a player on here - sorry canโt remember your username! - whoโs played something like a 100 hours on (I think) pioneers of Olive town.
I'm glad I'm not subscribing to psplus extra (I have the essential one), it's kind of annoying if games I played just appear and disappear randomly, at least in psplus essential the games are permanent.
The usual question is what will happen in the Classics line, i.e. if the games are free if you have the previous digital version or if you can buy them separately.
So far it seems somewhat consistent that you can buy games by Sony, and not buy games by Namco while other publishers don't care that much to release their old games.
Although, to be honest, I only pay the base tier for cloud saves.
Not that I care about either game, this is just weird and downright embarrassing. Seems like every month they announce a game and then pull it a couple days later. Hell when the new serviced launched they put Evil Genius 2 on it and then pulled it off a few days later (and since moved it back on several months after that). Curious how unorganized they seem for such an important process.
@BeerIsAwesome You are right. I was under the impression that the psn versions of the classic Oddworld games were published by Sony themselves. Also there is also Resident Evil Director's Cut by Capcom. Still there are many major publishers that don't release their games.
For PSP it is the same as PSone, more or less. I have the old PSP versions of Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Ridge Racer 2. First was free, second only available if you subscribe.
When I see a review about a game (Soundfall) and it's states "precise timing" I skip it immediately maybe I 'm a loser but timing games are not for me at all. This is why I don't play souls games.
@wiiware just like every streaming service u probably pay for
Its a shame.
Soundfall is sn amazing little title that doesnt get any of the attention that it deserves.
Twing stick shooter in time with the beat with a diablo lite loot system.
With a large and varied song list
(I just spent like ยฃ50 buying most of DJ Max Respect DLC songs in the sale........honestly on I like soundfalls vanilla soundtrack more than 80% of anything DJ Max can offer)
I'm fine with the "trade-off" if we want to call it that, but man, the way this stuff works is looking increasingly shaky.
@Kidfried It also happened with Game Pass like how Diofield Chronicle was announced to come in January and then disappeared.
What the heck, I was really looking forward to Soundfall
Lame Sony! It's never been like this on GamePass as far as I've noticed.
@UltimateOtaku91 if this site gave it a 5/10 then its probably a really good game as push square scores can be questionable at the best of times
the scores always seem to depend on the mood of the reviewer at the time the reviewed it
@Nightcrawler71 I think it was me, I mentioned on the previous story about it being removed that I put over 100 hours into getting the plat on Olive Town. It was a lot of fun, but the last 2-3 trophies took a REALLY long time lol
confusing, but at least harvest moon is back i guess, that other game IDC anyways so no loss it replaces the harvest moon game anyways
Never heard of the game anyways ๐คท
@tangyzesty Have you played SoS friends of mineral town? Is it worth playing?
@ztpayne7 @Cikajovazmaj I bought Soundfall some months back on sale and within half an hour was begging customer service for a refund so, imo, you really aren't missing out on much.
Neat? I'm prob still never gonna play it.
@Kidfried After trying gamepass (which is awesome), in the end I prefer buying games on discount that's permanently stays on my console rather than depending on subscription. While extra and premium sound great, in the end I know I only have time to play one or two games seriously on ps5 lol.
I kind of like nintendo cheap subscription too, $20 peryear for cloud saves is cheap, and nes/snes/gameboy games is pretty good bonus for the price. I wish nintendo isn't too greedy though, $50 for sega/n64/gba games are a bit much ๐
@C25CLOUD Yeah it's annoying like in netflix I saw sonic 1&2 movie on there, but when I want to watch it after a couple of weeks later, the movie disappear ๐
Is that Mineral Town game good? I always get confused between Story of Seasons and Harvest moon.
@Nightcrawler71 I have not, but from what I've read the two games are pretty similar so if that's the case I definitely recommend it! I believe Mineral Town might be a remake of a Game Boy Advance game but I'm not 100% on that.
Where's splinter cell and metal gear solids? ๐
@tangyzesty thanks ๐ will give mineral town a go when it drops on PS+ extra this week.
