Bandai Namco has released a suitably in-depth gameplay overview trailer for Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. The video covers quite a lot of stuff, including combat mechanics, zone exploration, equipment systems, skill trees, and even avatar customisation.
Yep, you'll once again be able to alter the look of main character Kirito, although if Last Recollection is anything like past Sword Art Online titles, doing so won't have much of an impact on how the story plays out. Still, it's nice to see the feature return.
Last Recollection is currently aiming for a PS5 and PS4 release on the 6th October. Are you looking forward to pulling off sword combos and wooing waifus? Deal max damage in the comments section below.

I'm really hoping that 1) they don't make it the same miserable grindfest AL was and 2) all the game-original characters are available before DLCs.
At least they ditched the Accuracy/Evasion modifiers again. It worked with HF because bosses weren't literally upto 800 levels above you, but HR felt more forward-thinking by not having Acc/Eva and that game was genuinely fun and still my most-played PS game by time played by a long shot, but it wasn't without its own flaws.
The thing I'm most concerned about though is that they didn't rotate their studios for this one so I hope Aquria doesn't burn out and ruin the game...
If the game is 60fps on PS5, I will buy it. If it isn't, it's a skip. The previous ones were almost unplayable due to the terrible framerate and load times.
Still no english voice acting for the SAO games makes me sad.
