Focus Entertainment is getting into the business of publishing smaller indie games, and if Dordogne is anything to go by, it certainly knows how to pick them. Dated for 13th June 2023 on PS5, PS4, you can check out the beautiful visuals developer UN JE NE SAIS QUOI has put together in the trailer above. Pre-orders are expected to go live on the PS Store soon at a price of £12.99/$14.99.
This is a narrative experience where you play as Mimi, who needs guiding through various gorgeous watercolour paintings on a quest to "awaken your senses and evoke warm memories". All of the scenes have been painted by hand, with your own in-game journal being personal to your playthrough as you collect pictures, sounds, and scents. "As past meets present, confront your adult choices with fond childhood memories to uncover lost family secrets," the Steam listing says.
What do you think of Dordogne's visuals and accompanying gameplay? Let us know in the comments below.

This looks lovely!
Looks absolutely unique. I’m always ready to give games like this a shot
I absolutely adore games like this. There is a game on PS Plus Extra with a similar painterly style called 11:11 Memories Retold that I discovered because of a comment on this forum. I would never have known about it had not a member here mentioned it in a post. I also purchased and beat Seasons: A Letter to the Future because of its unique art style. I will definitely get this too.
I love cozy games! This looks like another great one.
This looks great. Very much looking forward to this.
@Stevemalkpus just looked into 11-11 Memories Retold because of your comment. I'll definitely be giving that game a try soon!
Looks stunning. Will definitely consider in the future, but launching just before FF16 means it will have to wait
Lovely! May pick this up day 1! Focus is such an awesome publisher, great that they focus on indies as well now I think the indiegame Seasons after Fall (recommend that 1 btw) was published by Focus as well.
@Kidfried Besides 11-11 Memory Retold, Season A Letter to the Future, there is Valiant Hearts The Great War (bought it on PS4 but it’s available in PS Premium) & the sequel is playable if you have Netflix. Also looking forward to Planet of Lana.
Beautiful game, but alittle to calm and slow for my liking.
This looks delightful and the asking price is more than reasonable. I do wonder why the developer’s name is in all caps, though. Every time I read it I feel like I’m getting yelled at in French.
Looking forward to your review! Potential buy 😊
So pretty. I wish publishers didn’t decide based on preorders whether games were successful. I want this game and yet I am booked with games to play and I try not to just buy games to wait a year to play them.
What a beautiful game, and at such a respectful price. I really appreciate that.
@bpomber me too
Doesn't say preorder now on PlayStation. And it's mid June release. Could this be a playstation plus extra day 1 release?
Based on this very small sample size, narratively it puts off “What Remains of Edith Finch” vibes, which was a master class in story telling. On top of that, the game looks gorgeous. Consider my interest piqued.
@rusty82 It releases one week too early for that to be a possibility I’m afraid.
@LiamCroft ahhh well. May have to buy it around launch if can find some reviews of it.
Dang that looks lush
