For years now, Annapurna Interactive has been known as one of the best indie publishers around, helping other studios bring their games to market like Outer Wilds, Solar Ash, and Stray. Now, though, the company has its own internal team set up and the first title it's developing is Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. This will mark the first new Blade Runner game to be released for PC and consoles in 25 years, and you can catch a brief glimpse in the trailer above.
The announcement doesn't get into specifics about which consoles the game is targeting, but it's probably safe to say Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth will likely hit PS5 at some point. In partnership with Alcon Interactive Group, the game "takes place in 2033, squarely between the original film Blade Runner and the sequel Blade Runner 2049, and set in a dystopian Los Angeles after the Blackout hits". More information will be shared soon, a press release confirms.

Could be cool I like the movie. Annapurna is pretty good for the most part.
Yes i'm talking about stray
Hell yes. Such a cool universe to expand upon. Any word on what type of game this is or anything about it? This is yet another trailer that tells us nothing lol
I like the PC game despite the flaws. I’d be happy with one with the same vibes.
That's a pretty CGI trailer!😑Love me some Bladerunner, any cyberpunk sci fi game is welcome, i love this dystopian take on humanity's future(depressingly realistic too, mind you) but this trailer once again tells you nothing about the actual game. I'm excited though, i loved Stray and the world Annapurna created showed they can build dense environments with a lot of atmosphere. Can't wait for some actual gameplay and background info!
*Edit: Stray was developed by BlueTwelve Studios, i need to learn how to read.. Annapurna is just the publisher.
I enjoyed Blade Runner when I played it for the first time last year. I really hope this turns out to be an adventure game or RPG.
I frigging love Blade Runner so to get a new game after all this time is welcome.
I'll always take some more cyberpunk setting games.
Blade Runner is a amazing franchise, so any new installment is welcome!!
They also produced Gone Home, Journey and Edith Finch, so fingers cross for an RPG/Adventure type game. I wanna enhance and pan left!
This looks awesome! I Hope it's same style as the original PC release... loved the enchanced version for Playstation.
@TeapotBuddha Yeah it looked like he was using the same device that was used in 2049 to make memories for replicants.
Please for the love of God be a spiritual successor to the original blade runner game.
That game was a huge part of my childhood. I absolutely adored that game. The mess of the remaster was a disappointment.
But I always hoped they could capture the magic again some day.
I'm all in if its a investigation sim built in.
I absolutely loved the flashy sci-fi in the original movie, though I didn't care so much for the ecological dystopia of the second movie. Either way, it's great to see more Blade Runner things.
Is that Sam Rockwell or am I just imagining it?
I think I'm just imagining it, but still 😱
Blade Runner + Annapurna + Sam Rockwell would be too much
Sounds very promising.. Will be following this one
@KundaliniRising333 strikes me as a detective type game, which I think fits perfect and I am all in for.
Wow wow wow wow...wow.
Glad these devs got their hands on this IP; I think they can do it justice for sure!
Would have liked more details on this one.
I think that property is way too big for them - but I wish them the best. I've own quite a few of Annapurna's games - they are good little indie games. Bladerunner will carry expectation. Good luck.
And there we have it. By far the most surprising and most interesting announcement this summer. F, can't wait. Usually I would fear it'll be some mainstream crap but it's by Annapurna, so...
I love the Blade Runner franchise, this could potentially turn out to be something amazing.
A walking sim in the blade runner universe?
The mood is captured perfectly. Hope that the game won't just be desk investigation, like a game purely based on braindance style investigation (my least favourite element in cyberpunk 2077). If it's paired with sleuthing your way through L.A., interrogations and a little chase and action sprinkled in it would be perfect. Can't wait for the soundtrack as well!
@number1024 is the remaster still really bad?
