Star Wars Outlaws, the first open world entry from Ubisoft in the legendary LucasFilm franchise, will launch in 2024 – and while there’s a lengthy CG trailer embedded above to whet your appetite, you won’t have to wait long for gameplay. The French firm promises that the first PS5 gameplay will debut during Ubisoft Forward tomorrow, and you can find out when and where to watch that through here.
The press release explains: “With development led by Massive Entertainment, Star Wars Outlaws will invite players to experience the Star Wars galaxy like never before through an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” Massive Entertainment is, of course, the team behind The Division series.
The blurb continues: “As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives. Fans will play as cunning scoundrel, Kay Vess, brought to life by Humberly González, and her loyal companion Nix, played by Dee Bradley Baker (Star Wars: The Bad Batch), as they attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Seeking the means to start a new life, players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates and join the galaxy’s most wanted.”

The dog-like alien looks so cute!
It's weird how on paper Star Wars is supposed to be an expansive world, but everything ends up looking and feeling the same.
Humans are not very imaginative.
Well the trailer looks pretty cool but let wait for the game play video before getting excited.
Probably the highlight of the showcase for me personally. Looking forward to seeing the gameplay.
I hope Sony is prepping a tweet for all this 3rd party stuff that's getting announced
Outlaws kind of gets me hyped, not quite as much as if it were Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. But i'm all in if the gameplay looks good.
It'll be interesting to see how the open world element works considering it's a space setting, and it won't be a No Man's Sky game, I imagine. Maybe open world but just a specific region or smaller system. The Outer Rim is absolutely massive, right? So a lot to choose from
Nice trailer that. I like Ubi open world games and I like Star Wars so I'm quite excited for this.
Looks like it could be good. Need to see gameplay.
Hopefully the main character has good writing, please God don't let this be "another female mc" please.
I wonder if every player will get stuck, trying to get through the first door! 😭

One of the few things that caught my attention from otherwise mediocre showcase. Hope it won't be as dull as usual Ubishit open worlds.
I think the ubi showcase could actually be pretty decent tomorrow! Haven't said that for a long while. This, Avatar, back to a classic Assassin's creed. And who knows, we might finally get a splinter cell deepdive.
Trailer looked awesome. Hopefully the game play will be too. Can't wait to see more.
Wasn't convinced. It looked shallow.
Though i almost spit my drink when i saw this guy that looked like Kyle Katarn, but wasn't.
Star Wars with a high Ubisoft flavour? ***** no
Finally a chance to go bad in SW.
This got me extremely hyped! I was already hoping to hear more about this game in tomorrow's Ubisoft show, now I know its going to be there, I am certainly not going to miss it!!!
I'm genuinely excited to see the gameplay for this.
If this is an offline campaign with no loot crate nonsense yea il get it , I like star wars Disney starwars meh .everything outside of the original trilogy is non canon. Please George buy back Lucasfilm and delete Disney's lame effort.
Don't really care much for anything set in this universe with no powers.
All roads leads to Ubisoft Foward today.
This droid with the trenchcoat looks sick!!
Looks promising
Trailer was definitely exciting when I saw it during the Xbox showcase.
Ubisoft's event being the next day was too perfect haha, almost like it was planned .
@AdamNovice Sony never did make such a tweet, but thankfully a fellow gamer saved the day.
