After a PS4 version of High on Life was spotted on the backend of the PS Store, the comedic game has now essentially been confirmed for PS5 and PS4 as Exophase has pulled Trophy lists for both versions. They are available to view now, with Platinum Trophies for both PS5 and PS4 editions.
Now we have PS5, PS4 Trophy lists to browse through, it's extremely safe to say these High on Life ports are real. With the Trophy lists viewable, the game will likely launch in the near future. An official announcement will likely follow some time next week.
Released on Xbox Series X|S and PC last December, the game commands a Metacritic rating of 69. Our sister site Pure Xbox praised the talking gun and interesting traversal, but ultimately landed on a 4/10 review score. "High On Life combines sloppy shooter action with Justin Roiland and all of his pals being incredibly annoying." Following the game's release, former studio founder Justin Roiland was charged with domestic violence. However, they were later dropped.
Will you play High on Life on PS5, PS4? Let us know in the comments below.

Played on gamepass and dropped after an hour or 2. Pretty lackluster and annoying. I’ll be interested to see its price, cause its definitely not worth a full release even taking out the facts its been out for a year
I remember watching a comment maybe even a Tweet of some dude putting this and God of War Ragnarok in the same level of exclusives LOL.
But if someone was actually interested in this and wanted it on ps hopefully they have fun.
Justin Roiland is funny, man. Rick and Morty proves that. I thought Trover Saves The Universe had some rather hilarious dialogue in it as well. Haven't seen much of this game but if it gets added to the PS+ Extra catalogue then I could be tempted.
Why link an article to Roiland being charged with domestic violence when the charges have been dropped and what does it have to do with the game maybe coming to PS?
I wonder if a physical edition is in the works. Xbox hasn't had one yet.
I haven't really seen Rick & Morty at all but I thought the humor of this game was okay. Not all the jokes land but i never found it annoying. I love J.B. Smoove from curb your enthusiasm and he was great as one of the guns. Shooting and platforming was fun, I think it mostly comes down to how you respond to the humor.
Heh heh…69!
Sorry…
Fans of Roiland's humor seem to love it, and somehow the game picked up fans otherwise for the gameplay. Personally I couldn't take more than an hour or so of it. Gunplay was bad, gameplay felt like a mid-00's generic shooter, and the comedy is......an acquired taste that I absolutely have not acquired.
Not a huge fan of Rick and morty but really liked this game, played to the end and laughed out loud a few times. Really good 👍
I enjoyed this on Xbox and I’ll probably pick it up when it comes to PlayStation. The humour really gelled with me.
Hahahahahaha releasing this even after Roiland’s been dropped from everything
Loved this game! It was such stupid fun - and very much aware of it.
Scorn AND High on Life are officially both coming to PlayStation?! Whoa! The bottom of the Gamepass barrel has been scraped!
Sorry, could not resist. Two of the worst games of last year, in my opinion. On one hand, it’s great that games are going on to more platforms, but on the other hand, both games are simply not pleasant.
@EaglyPurahfan 'Just because he wasn’t found guilty dosent mean he didn’t do it. All the evidence points to him being guilty'
The case was specifically dismissed because of lack of evidence. What evidence are you aware of that the prosecution weren't? Perhaps you should present it to the authorities, especially considering you're happy to allude to him bring guilty of the crime.
It’s by no means a must play. The shooting can be wonky because of the way the bullets travel but overall I enjoyed it. 7/10 seems about right.
Actually wanted this but the kid killing joke was a huge turn off. Yeh I know it's 'alternative' humour and maybe I'm an old fart, but just not for me.
Wasn't Roiland in that underage scandal or am I thinking of someone else.
Great voice, terrible person.
Ill see the review first
@NomNom yeah there's screenshots and everything, it's real bad.
Nice! I love Rick and Morty so can't wait to play this.
No thanks, I'll just stick to getting high on drugs. I don't need to be bored with bad humor supporting this piece of trash. I don't even care if he's guilty or not. I don't need the law to tell me whether or not I can support someone, I can make my own judgment calls.
Glad I waited and didn't plug in my Xbox. Do want to try this one.
I didn't care for this one and am unbothered by PS4/5 versions. I played it on PC. It ran terribly and the Morty gun got very annoying very fast. I'd rather play Kena or Stray.
Its a love hate game.
Literally the whole game knows its annoying and thats the point.
Some people get it others don't.
Same with comedy.
Cant wait to play it.
Been holding out for it.
If the comedy is similar to Rick and Morty that's a pass. It was new and funny way to show comedy in the first two seasons, but starting on season three the show became a caricature of itself. Also Dan Harmon has a tendency of being meta for the sake of it, breaking the fourth wall nonstop just to wink at the audience. It gets quite repetitive after a while.
I want to play this game so much. I honestly considered getting a XBOX to play it last year.
Very fun game.
@LiamCroft It just got released today!
@riceNpea because of people like you, it's guilty until proven innocent. I really hope you never have to experience something like that. Don't you dare say, well it won't happen to me because I am smarter than that. That is the point. When guilty until proven innocent is the standard, anyone at anytime can accuse you of whatever and whenever just because they can. There are plenty of other people who worked on this game and not just the guilty until proven innocent.
@Will777 what on earth are you talking about? Are you suggesting I support people being guilty until proven innocent because that's the opposite of my point.
@Eagly who replied to me is the person who thinks people are guilty when there's a lack of evidence.
