It sounds like long awaited action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink is finally getting ready for release in the relatively near future. After a lengthy development cycle — which has included multiple delays and even a change in primary studio — the promising title is "nearing completion". That's according to an official statement from Cygames' Anime Expo 2023 panel (thanks @granblue_en).
The only problem? We still don't have a launch date — but it might not be long until we get one. Cygames says more information is coming in August, and with Relink continuing to target a 2023 release, we must assume that a date will have to be locked in sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed!
Everything we've seen of Granblue Fantasy: Relink up until this point has looked great. For those totally out of the loop, it's both a story-driven, single-player adventure and a mission-based, co-op compatible experience, all rolled into one very flashy action RPG package. Here's hoping that it lives up to the years of hype.
Are you looking forward to finally getting your hands on Granblue Fantasy: Relink? Gather your party and march towards what is surely a release date in the comments section below.

Excellent. A potential Christmas game for me.
Can't wait to see more.
Is this the one platinum was working on?
Final Fantasy XVI now, Trails into Reverie in a few days, Baldur’s Gate 3 in September, then this! It’s a good year to be an RPG fan!
Been looking forward to this one fore a long time! They're being really coy about that release date but I have high Hope's.
I'm hoping for a Christmas release, but I have a feeling it may be pushed back into early 2024, similar to FF7 rebirth. If so it has some major competition with rebirth and also persona 3 remake.
Good, I hope the game is good
@Danloaded Yep!
Our time of waiting is almost up, dudes, and I couldn't be happier. Can't wait to play this!
this is my next big game.
unless Armored Core hits.
Yes, totally looking forward to this one.
I lost interest years ago when they dropped platinum games as a co-developer. Cygames is a mobile game developer and they don't have experience with a game this size on console. Hopefully they will prove me wrong
@Rhaoulos the director for GBF Relink is Yasuyuki Kaji, according to the anime expo description of him he was "a former lead level designer at PlatinumGames" and was the director since the inception of the game. Also considering the people who gotten their hands of the demo in anime expo said the gameplay/fluidity is great, I would say the game is in good hands.
