Super, will have a look through the store when I get home later and see what can pick up this time
Still hate the PS5's interpretation of the Store and the useless web based thing too. Then again, I'm old.
Might boot up the old stager and have a look what's going for cheap.
I finally picked up Zombieland for £14. Great deal and super fun.
It’s worth pointing out that Moss Book two isn’t currently available on sale on PSVR2 in its own (although it is available on sale on PSVR1). You can however get the 2 game bundle for £21 on PSVR2 if you go via the app or website
Another sale with almost the same prices as the last most of these games can be found much cheaper physical why is digital so expensive?.
LIVE A LIVE is very tempting. Had my eye on it for a while but for some reason I just never pulled the trigger on purchasing. I think now might be the time.
@Rangers420 Because digital is convenient and Sony is in full control of the prices and keeps it full priced for these reasons.
Damn. Over 3,000 games and add-on’s on sale and not a single one of them that’s on my wish list…….. good thing I’ve got Remnant 2 coming this Friday!
well... physicals are still much cheaper, I wouldn't say it's a huge sale
@KAIRU Do it. It's a superb game.
@Nepp67 Nonsense. Sony doesn't make the prices from other publishers. The publishers of each respective game decide the price points when and if they put em on sale.
@JAMes-BroWWWn Is there hard evidence for this? I remember reading some devs say that they weren’t even able to be part of a sale because Sony didn’t “invite” them to it.
What you’re saying is certainly not true for physical games as stores can charge whatever they want for them. Digital could be different but I’m not sure why it would be?
Gollum 33% off, sales will skyrocket.
Hands up who guessed that most big PS5 games would come in at £52ish LOL my wallet is absoultely fine in this "mega sale" PS Store has a problem, their sales are now dreadful, predictable and full of the same games rotated in a 6 week cycle.
They are always the same price on sale, and theres very rarely any big surprises you might find to tempt you, its same old,.same old.
@Max_the_German
Man I wish I waited for a sale instead of buying it on release!!!
Chose of us using the Turkey store are chuckling away at the usual comments saying physical is cheaper. 😄
I always feel like the well-marketed sales are poor, yet there's real value in other sales sometimes where you can pick up great games for loose change
I've had a look through and was quite disappointed, then again there was nothing I was itching for, so dunno why I am disappointed.
Might pick up some vouchers from ShopTo and get myself Hogwarts.
Some really good deals, but also a continuation of an annoying trend someone pointed out where they seem really keen on only putting the deluxe edition of games on sale but not the standard or the DLC. I have Midnight Suns and the expansion pack for the 4 DLC characters costs basically a whole game ($50). They have all of the various deluxe editions on sale, but not the expansion pack. So it's almost like punishing me for getting the standard edition in the first place.
@Kidfried It's worth noting the PS4 version did actually get a PS5 patch later on. It's not a native PS5 version, but it does now look and run better: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2021/11/psychonauts-2-treated-to-a-ps5-patch
@Gamer_Guy
You and the Turkey store should get a room.
Another sale with no Spirit of Sanada nor Blue Reflection. Oh well.
Terrible sale. Honestly if you have a disc drive go physical.
Tactics ogre is £20, Gollum £20, like a dragon and forspoken have both been cheaper recently.
This all new digital is really great for us gamers huh.
I think it’s time to buy Cyberpunk!
@sanderson72 Same for me. I use the PS app in stead, store is easier and more efficient to use on my phone.
@SJR Just thought to myself the same thing. Don't buy games until they are reduced to £20 or below. Still waiting on LOU part 1, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, Dead Space, GoW Ragnarok, FF16.
Either they'll pass that price eventually or end up on PS+ or GP. Whichever comes first.
@StonyKL For Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok and FF16, you're gonna be waiting a looooooong time.
@PaperAlien Xbox is the same exact sales as this - on the same cycle. These aren't sales, except for ones not often on sale yet (Hogwart's) - the listed prices are the real price now that they've either slowed down or completely failed reaching targets. They are trying to perceive value - they are not a value, they are simply reflecting a found price people will pay.
@StripedTomato Mmm kind of hard to say. The Pathless is pretty good, got it early into the PS5's life. It's gameplay is kind of arcade-y in the sense that there's very little that changes as you get through it but it's gorgeous to look at. Doesn't take long to platinum either, around 10 hours. So honestly, $15/£11.99 is around what it SHOULD cost.
@Cashews I agree, but 20-40% wouldn't put it at £20. Considering how new FFXVI it's still going to be a while before it hits that price.
The Last Of Us Part 1 can be found for £30 regularly on marketplaces.
We're going to miss Physical once it inevitably gets phased out.
CyberShadow is the cheapest it's been
@sorteddan Im up for a threesome, just grabbed pga golf ps5 for £10 and wrc generations ps5 for £5 on turkey store 🤣
@Brydontk I re-read your og post and you are right. Those 3 probably won't ever see that level - frankly they probably shouldn't until the end of this gen's life cycle.
Only brought the DJ Max Respect Extention 3 (it was a smidge more than what I wanted to pay in the previous sale) but its okish now.
I have all the DJ Max stuff now minus guilty gear (its not on sale and the unlock key)
Just browsing for anything else.
Kinda tempted by KOF but Im sure a complete edition will come eventually so Ill wait.
@FatalBubbles I'm obviously referring to the Playstation Store, as it's the topic that the OP was whining about.
You're referring to something totally different though. I remember that story. It was about that some devs couldn't reach Sony to put their games on certain sales. So their games wasn't on sale even though the devs/publishers planned to participate in those sales to boost sale numbers.
Sony can't dictate price points from other publishers games. Just as Valve can't do that, Microsoft or Nintendo neither.
They are just running store fronts. The prices have always been given by the publishers.
@JAMes-BroWWWn So they have, also according to the developers in those stories, limited the price things can be on sale for if I recall correctly. So they do have some influence it appears on the price?
@Cashews No worries! And appreciate you saying that.
There are plenty of games I have my eye on in the sale-but given the state of my backlog, the prices just aren’t low enough to tempt me.
Hotel R n R is on sale again (finally).
I probably would have picked it up had it was discounted to at least its all time low pirce (or lower)
I just refuse pick up something knowing its previously been cheaper......theres always next time I guess (though if its going to be 12 months till its next sale.....Ive probably long moved on from the PSVR1)
Rustler at £1.24 is a really good bargin. Generally though quite a disappointing sale
@FatalBubbles Well, certain sales have themes. Like around October there's Halloween sales or something spooky. I think based on these kind of sales, Sony can refuse certain games to participate. But as far as I know that just exceptions. Usually, every publisher can provide a list of games they want to be price reduced and Sony will let them know when this sale go live to let them publishers can promote it on social media to let potential buyers know.
@sorteddan Too funny.
@R_Ryder Thanks, waited for this. 25 EUR is very fair for this bundle.
I'm really stupid and nearly bought EA PGA Tour golf, I may still, but is it actually any good? 😅 I feel like it'd be more chill and a good FIFA replacement for when I want to play a game without a story. Last golf game I played was tiger woods something or other
And @bindiana Rustler at a pound is pretty decent. I got it for £2 on the Switch, as I feel like it's a good handheld type game. But yeah, the overall sale is a bit stinky, considering it's a promoted sale, not just a regular daily sale.
Gonna take this opportunity to grab the Yakuza Origins bundle for $13 before those games leave PS+
(Well played, Sega, well played....)
Might be picking up Last Of Us 1 now that I finished the show. Key word is MIGHT.
I'll grab Final Fantasy 14 since it's half price and get back into playing.
ZombieLand Headshot Fever for £13.99. Yes please.
Finally time to pick up Dead Space.
Lately, I've been buying digital versions of games I own physically if the price is low enough. So far, I bought Mortal Kombat XL & Remothered: Broken Porcelain for $2.99 each.
Scars Above, at $19.99 it's decent for a short game and it does have got native 120Hz mode, given that you're got the proper setup
@LiamCroft why no Euro? We still love the UK, even after you broke up with us.
